Re: Keeping an eye on AR
Thinking AR will pan out isn't crazy.
Conspiracy theories, saying Curry sucks, saying the Maggette signing was good, saying Mullin was a great GM, and talking about Lin like he's some god immune to jokes are posting career killers.
However, thinking AR will definitely pan out, lee definitely sucks, and the trade was freakin terrible would be a posting career killer.

Lee doesn't suck, I'm excited to have him here. The trade was terrible when understanding each and every part of what went down. AR will pan out.

If one is making thousands of posts, most with a message, then yeah its serious for them.
Nobody wants to be the guy that is constantly wrong if they have any hope of having people respect their opinion. If you are just here for making funny posts, then its not a big deal what you say, other than to get a laugh. But I think most people want to be respected for their ideas.
Fair enough. We'll just have to wait and see how the Randolph situation pans out over time. I do believe it's gonna hurt one day.
Yeah, sorry, I wasn't implying anything about you and your take on Randolph. I don't know who is saying what to be honest. I just notice few people going a bit over the top in their "Randolph was our savior and Lee is poo...woe is me" posts.
I think we all understand where people stand now. So I'm not sure why it keeps being stated over and over when really nothing has developed in the last month or so.
We'll see how things end up once the season gets going. Just a few more months to go!

Re: Keeping an eye on AR
As has been OBVIOUS here, GSW had a desperate NEED to have the C + PF posts manned by guys who BOTH rebound and play D well. Many bigs did either or neither..not both......AR was doing both and as a TWENTY YEAR OLD....likely was gonna get BETTER.
Lee will be a PROBLEM exactly as Troy Murphy was a PROBLEM. Lee is LESS on D than Murphy.
Riley, I guess thinks a Win Now plan fits here....that a VERY often injured team is better off with NO BENCH.....that Nellie has a plan based on less speed, less scoring, less 3 pt made, less FT.
uh huh.......and every time I fart...out comes Silver Dollars. Jackpot. Have another burrito.
....and of course,a big glass of Kool Aid !

Re: Keeping an eye on AR
Also, just wanna put this out there, from all my time with asian families I have come to realize this...they are probably the most racist people of all. For example, not only did my ex's dad have a list of 100 jokes ripping on other races (50 about black people, 5 about Italians, and a handful on latinos)...that family also wasn't a fan of other asians. And this isn't exactly an isolated case...

I found Japan to be as rasicist as it comes. Not a day went by where I was stared at, yelled at or even spat at for living there.
No biggie.

Where you were or were not stared at?
Japan kinda makes sense...you're a big ol' white dude with a bunch of native Japanese with their very unique clothing style. I'd assume you'd stick out yo.

yup like he does with gallo and chanlder last year. if mike is high on you, you have all teh freedom. If u run your mouth all day (like harrington, nate, hughes, etc) und bring almost nothing to the table, guys find themselves on the bench for a lot of games..

Re: Keeping an eye on AR
I read in the interview with Randolph that Nelson wanted him to rebound, but that just isn't Anthony's game it seems. So now he's happy to be in NY where there are no such demands placed on him to rebound and he can just be who he is. ROTFL
I also liked the part about him really liking to handle the ball. Yeah, we know, Anthony, it was never handling the ball that was the problem it was the inability to pass that was the rub.
At least I feel good that AR will not improve in NY and will always remain a high energy (Please Use More Appropriate Word) on the court.

Mike doesn't like players with ego unless you're Amare or prime Marion...AR has quite the ego. The second he gets in D'Antoni's doghouse he's done.

Re: Keeping an eye on AR
You know, I always thought D'Antoni was not too high on Amare. They've had some fallings out. My assumption has always been that Amare was the first available cohort that might be able to bring in LeBron, and all of their plans were about LeBron.
Amare, Joe Johnson, they were always just bait to get LeBron, or at least Wade or Bosh. They never planned or counted on having Amare being their main FA acquisition, and if they would have known how it was going to turn out, my bet is they never would have went after Amare at all. And now they're stuck with $100 mil of him.

Re: Keeping an eye on AR
There's certainly friction between Mike and Amare...but it's at the point where Amare is so established that D'Antoni can't bench him for being an idiot.

NY stills signs Amare even if they know Lebron isn't coming. They could not come up empty and Amare was straightforward to buy.

Re: Keeping an eye on AR
D'Antoni doesn't ask his team to play defense and Amare thrives playing only one side of the ball. Those guys were made for each other.
