Why? What does that solve?
1.) We are developing our younger players
2.) We already have a log jam for playing time
3.) We don't need him
4.) We don't want him
5.) If we got him, Wolves would sell even less tickets
6.) Don't wanna hear about any "vet leadership" he would bring

no. he sucks. he's a shooter who can't shoot. we already had that last year in pavlovic.

Re: Mike Dunleavy
Initially it is easy to write off an idea like this. However, under the right circumstances this idea could actually work better than one might think. If we played our cards right it could potentially be a buy low, sell high move. I actually think he could do well here. Another capable outside shooter plus the Wolves still really don't have a veteran wing who is a proven scorer, facilitator.
The downside would be how he effects others minutes. The scenario in my head would really only result in Wes's minutes being decreased in the first half of the season, brought along a little slower until Dunleavy was flipped for more assets where in time Wes would get a nice bump in minutes.
I am not necessarily advocating a move like this just merely playing devils advocate. It kind of boils down to the debate over throwing a rookie to the wolves (pun intended) or bringing him a long a little more slowly than that. Neither is really the right or wrong way, it is really just something that everyone has their own personal preference about.

1. He's old and broken down.
2. He's not part of our future.
3. He's not worth his $10.5 mil salary
4. We don't have $10.5 mil in matching bad contracts, and he certainly isn't worth giving up cap space on.
5. He'd never get off the bench. We need to give SF minutes to Webster, Wes Johnnson and Beasley

I'd like him for a fraction of that salary because I think he's better than the numbers show, but not for 10 mil, that ruins all hope of snatching up somebody at the deadline

Mike Dunleavy is a shooting specialist that can't shoot. He's not worth his contract. He shouldn't get minutes over Johnson, Webster, Brewer, Ellington, or LAZAR. Why would we want him?

I don't think so. I'd imagine the point of acquiring him would basically be to flip him for a profit. His deal is expiring so if he played well it shouldn't be hard to move him along at the deadline. Just saying.

No way Kahn does that, thankfully
The cap space we already have is worth a lot more than he is. And it doesn't waste Taylor's cash.

Indiana would need to send us something else like Paul George or something
And I honestly don't think Indiana is going to push that hard to move their expirings, they will develop their young guys this year and have cap space, young guys, and granger at the end of the year.

Well, I didn't want to be the one to say it, but the cat's out of the bag.
