He won't accept the offer until he finds out if Sasha Vujacic is going to be traded or not

I like SB... But they're saying the Knicks can offer 3m per... If that all goes to Shannon, it seems a bit steep to me...

Thanks for hangin' out bro...

I'd rather keep Sasha because he's in a contract year. Then if Sasha doesn' do well even in his contract year we can trade his expiring before the deadline. Win win.

for shannon's career he would be stupid not to take the knicks offer.... especially if it gives him the opportunity to get the starting 2 spot....

but the fact that his willing to wait to see if we trade sasha to sign him... makes me think his more about winning then the money ... which is good to see

I think he wants to be a Laker, but it's going to take a while to find a place for Sasha, and the desire to be a Laker is only going to carry him so far with a good sized offer on the table.

I hope we can land him but I just hope we don't over-pay.

I just hope he either lands with us or goes to the knicks if he is going to the knicks he will start and probably be a better place for him, but I still want him

++++1

Sasha is more of what we need: SHOOTING. Some would say that we desperately could use the well-below-average slashing ability that brown provides, but then we have Barnes and Ebanks for that. I agree with you. Its a win win to keep Sasha. I understand Mitch wants to shed the salary, but if we leave brown out, then that opens up the possibility of using the salary to acquire assets instead.

I hope he takes the deal... especially if he could possibly start and if there is more money involved...Winning is good, but he's got two rings and he's young. Go for the money!

I Hope he goes to New York, I rather have Sasha here then Shanon.... Sasha is 6'-7" shoots .400 from 3 point land and Shanon is 6'-4" shoots .281 from 3 point land... Sasha plays better defense then Shanon...

I hope trade Sasha and get Shannon back. That way the Lakers get a little younger and more athletic. Plus we save a little money.

Brown is that X-factor type of player that every team needs. He can get his team mates going and get the crowd on their feet.

I like him, but at the right price. He chose not to take $2mill didn't he? so surely he's wanting more than that and $3mill would be about right.

^ i believe that shannon wanted a longer contract cause he wants to remain a laker... so i think he was happy with what he was getting money wise as a laker... he just wanted a longer contract..

either way knicks or lakers - i wont be disappointed...

i agree. if we can have him back for the right amount of money just in case "project sasha" fail, that would be good. then we can trade sasha on February. but i wanna see what sasha can offer this season since it'll be his contract year.

If its Shannon or no Shannon...I think the obvious answer is the Lakers should take him. Not too expensive and he's a decent talent. But the guy can't shoot, has minimal ball handling skills (for a guy that relies on athleticism at the 2 guard, not good combo) and settles for jumpers w.o having a shot. Good luck to him if he moves on...part of me wants him too so his minutes can go to anyone else but no qualms with him coming back.

Brown is taking the smart approach by waiting. If the Lakers can some how trade Vujacic, then he has another option. However, I think it would be wise for him to go pursue a starting spot at this point in his career.

sadly i believe sasha is the better player out of the two of them.....he's more versatile and is in a contract yr.....if he can't get his shot together, then he will def. bring something to the table to get signed, whether it be rebounding, heart, toughness, steals, he'll make sure he contribute in some kind of way......all shannon can do is dunk, we could just sign gerald green or jabari (the kid from penn) to do the same thing shannon does, they can take poor shots, make mad decisions, and get the occasional dunk/alley oop that shannon brings....
