Don't let Lou's agent fool you, this is only a last minute ploy to get some more money out of Sarver. The deal will eventually get done; they are off 400k-500k for the entire contract. Lou's currently in Phoenix trying to get this deal done. Shocked at Utah throwing away so much money to pry Bell from the Lakers. Bell was offered the exact contract Barnes received from the Lakers and Utah got him last minute. Jefferson signed with the Spurs like I told you. The GM thing will get done but the Suns offer to Lester is only about 200k more than he is receiving from the Lakers as an assistant. So he is still contemplating on making the move to a harder job for little more money. The only positive from that is he basically doesn't have any more work to do this offseason if he signs.

Lets say that lebronjames6 is correct... I would like to see Amundson play as a backup center for Lopez? I mean, he would've done a better job than Jarron frikin Collins.

At least he's not as bad as Bimmer or Justin... He actually is quite entertaining,

Sean Williams is still out there, homeless - or did I miss something?

Let's sign him to the min and move on. Give him a chance to salvage his career

Unless he is not interested, the best candidate I have seen for the job of backup center is the guy who was here last year - Collins. He knows his role, plays smart, plays hard, can't jump a lick. But to me, is the best case out there.

Yup. Exactly what I said, but people bashed me for it.

Jarron Collins is undeniably the best backup center on the market right now without a doubt. He is tough, smart, big, defensive, and is amongst the best screeners in the league.

Steve Nash even said he loves Collins b/c he gives quality screens like Kurt Thomas did.

Jarron Collins is an old-school Jerry Sloan school-of-thought person who, frankly, would even be better as a primary backup center than Frye - who should be the PF.

I'm all for Jarron Collins coming back. Hell of a player.

This is how I'd do things w/ a Jarron Collins sign:

C. Lopez-Collins-Lawal
F. Frye-Warrick-Clark
F. Turk-Dudley-Hill
G. J-Rich-J-Child
G. Nash-Dragic-Reynolds

I know I know. Hill is 3rd string SF. But I have no choice.

And Lawal is moved up to center b/c the PF is booked with Frye, Warrick, and Clark.

Lawal plays center in summer league so it's no problem.

Why bother posting? We are absolutely not bringing Collins back, and you were the ONLY one with a choice in your post to put Hill as 3rd string.

Dont you find it sad that my post, claiming your post is a waste of time, is less of a waste of time than your post?

please, lets not resort to low blows like that...

If we do keep Jarron Collins, I'd rather play Lawal infront of him. We need to at least give this guy some development time on court, if we're not going to play Clark.

That being said, I do not really want to bring Jarron Collins back, and I think there are much better options to look at when it comes to a 3rd Center.

Yes, good point, Sunskerr. Agree. Lawal in front of Jarron Collins on that depth chart would be better. But still like to have Collins back considering options Suns have (Blount, Oberto, etc.)

And don't worry about the low-blow. I got this guy on ignore (unfortunately I still see when you quote him. lol).

Some people - namely WTFsunsFTW - just have a grudge. This guy been on my tail since day 1 for some reason.

Cooler heads prevail. Let him talk his butt off, I don't care and don't mind one bit...

Hmm, well you say Oberto is on the market. I know he's older than collins(34 right?), but he'd be more serviceable than collins, having started on the Spurs for three, maybe for years. In all likelyhood he'll cost more than Collins though, so it's the classic cost vs effect argument.

...... Uh no thanks to Blount.

I'll never forget THE most epic rant about that pay check collecting turd over on Basketbawful.

Mark Blount: He got five minutes of PT against the Wiz and finished with...1 turnover. Period. That's like showing up to a company pot luck and only contributing the potato salad that gave everybody diarrhea. That's what Blount is at this point: Spoiled potato salad. He's making over $7 million this season, by the way, and he'll make almost $8 million next season. Which fills me with a red-hot rage.

That quote still gets quite a laugh out of me.

I wrote of Collins earlier - but the Oberto idea does have merit for sure. Just say no to Blount or other more offensive minded centers. If you can say that about Blount. Lets just go for a defensive guy, 6 fouls, set screens, rebounds, etc

I don't want that flopping **** Beef Jerky Bitch Oberto on my team. The guy who flopped so Amare could get his 4th foul, taking him out of Game 3 in 2007, aka The Donaghy Game.

**** that guy.
