Kwame Brown

Post#1 » by tugs » Fri Jul 30, 2010 6:30 am

young, has the tools, LB and MJ as teachers... there's no excuse for him to suck now.

we can't be choosy now. from having the deepest center rotation to "meh..". Nazr-Brown is a good tandem IMO.

Unfortunately, Kwame is better than any big man the Bobcats have right now.

I fully endorse bringing in Kwame and bringing back Ammo.

And making a reality show out of it.

If we are stuck with just waiving Dampier for the money, yes should consider signing Brown. He is the best remaining FA center available (sad statement). Hard to believe but the guy is only 28, still has the length and size to help in the post (decent rebounder), but is a horrible FT shooter with limited offense and is foul prone. I would still prefer re-signing Dampier on a 1 year deal as he's more productive even at his age.

If we could trade Diaw for a starting PG that would help our cause. Gotta believe the Calderon thing will rise up again, as he seems to be the only "legit" starter available in trade now. That's also a sad statement.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

It'll never happen. MJ would sooner un-retire (again) and play center for us.

I agree with countryboi and Felton for Pres, Jordan with his ego isn't going to allow the public to ridicule him again by reunitng with Kwame. Although, I'd choose Brown over Diop and Nazr if they were the last guys to be picked for a team, which tells you how bad I see our center rotation.

no, you wouldn't. Kwame Brown makes Diop look like Olajuwon.

I've always thought that Brown would be a decent pickup for us but as it's been said, he's not coming here. Remember when Jordan reportedly called Brown a "flaming ****" in Washington? Yea, he's not coming.

How much does he have left though? I don't think Diop can continue much longer, I don't even know if he'll be able to play the entire season.

The censor took it out but a cigarette is commonly called this in England. If I remember correctly, MJ was trying to motivate Kwame to play better. Obviously didn't work.

There is no reason whatsoever why the Bobcats should ever sign Kwame Brown.

He really is that bad, and no he doesn't have potential...and no, it is not the system.

@ball - He called him a flaming f-ggot. Actually, even better, he's a link to an article that SI did on Brown several years ago:

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/si_onl ... /05/06/sc/

"A source told SI that Jordan ritually reduced Brown to tears in front of the team."

I would have loved for someone to capture this on video.

Edit: The article is about MJ, not Kwame. It's an interesting article, considering he eventually bought this team.

From that link:

Early in the 2002-03 season SI learned that Jordan, then a sixth man, told coach Doug Collins that he would no longer come off the bench. (He started the rest of the year.) According to the Times, Jordan made it clear to teammates that their willingness to pass to him would bear on their playing time. Point guard Larry Hughes, who shot early and often, was replaced by the more submissive Tyronn Lue.

Lmao, nice find Swedd. I didn't see that part.

Huge difference between Hughes and Brown; Hughes didn't make MJ look like a complete idiot for drafting him.

But hey, if MJ forgave Larry for not passing him the rock in Washington, maybe he can forgive Kwame for tainting his image as a GM/President/Owner/whatever.
