Jazz Lineup!!!

Post#1 » by HolyToledo » Fri Jul 30, 2010 7:01 pm

I keeping seeing people on this site and other sites putting Memo in starting lineup and Millsap to the bench. That is NOT the Jazz starting lineup next year. The Jazz lineup will be as follows:

PG Williams Price
SG Bell CJ Hayward
C Jefferson Memo Fess
PF Millsap AK-47 Jefferson
SF CJ Ak-47

AK-47 will be coming off the bench along with Memo. Sloan might start AK-47 and move to Miles to SG and bring Bell off the bench. Guarenteed starters (Miles, DWILL, Jefferson and Millsap) 5th (starter is either AK-47 or Bell)

Memo is coming back from injury and will need to get back into it slowly and then when fully healthy he will provide bench scoring.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

I keep seeing people on this site and other sites putting Millsap in the starting lineup and Okur on the bench. That is NOT the Jazz starting linup next year. The Jazz lineup will be as follows:

PG Williams, Price, Gaines
SG Bell, Miles
SF Miles, AK, Hayward
PF Jefferson, Millsap
C Okur, Jefferson, Fes

AK-47 will be coming off the bench along with Millsap. Sloan might start AK-47 and move Miles to SG and bring Bell off the bench. Guaranteed starters DWill and Jefferson.

Memo is coming back from injury and will need to get back into it slowly, and when fully healthy will return to his usual role as starting center.

Haha, as if anyone really knows what the starting lineup will be. You never know with the Jazz. One thing is for sure though, the starting C position is for Memo to lose. That is the way this team does things. I would imagine it will all be tried and given a chance.

Duh, Memo can't start until he's 100%. Millsap is the man and will be a great asset as a starter, but we all saw how awesome he has done coming off the bench as well. Good line up.

Why does everyone wanna bring AK off the bench again? He was great starting last year.

AK is awful off the bench and CJ plays better coming off the bench. It would be smart to start AK at SF I think. Millsap probably will start over Okur or at least play significantly more minutes because he's way better than Okur.

Actually, if Miles and Bell do a Brewer and Korver rotation, then Bell will be coming off the bench to play the 2nd and 4th quarter.

Starting is cool, but finishing games is cooler.

No reason he can't start and finish the game.

I will wait untill we can analyze how the Fesenko situation unfolds. If Jazz actually resign him and dude play just a little bit better, probably I'd be tempted to give it a try to Williams, Miles, Kirilneko, Jefferson, Fesenko, with Bell, Millsap, Okur from the bench... but we have to wait and see some preseason ball yet...
That said, I think Sloan will play Jefferson mostly at center, until the new big fella learns a little bit of passing on the flex...

You guys honestly think that Bell was told he would have the starting SG position? I'm sure he knows he has to earn it back. CJ is going to fight hard for it. This is very good for the team. Get some competition going like last year between CJ, Wes, and Brew.

my take is Okur will start as soon as possible, if he is 80% and wants to play my bet is he will start. Mainly because the Jazzz offense is all about first off pulling the center out for the PF. That is what the this Jazz team knows.

Now if they decide to go back to the Malone/Stockton type offense this preseason that will tell us if they think Okur will be healthy or not.

Bell is starting, I can almost garantee it. Defense has priority in Sloan's system, if one doesn't play defense you get pulled. Bell is the best defender on this team next to AK now and I would definitely say he is starting.... and ending the game.

Here is the way I see it

PG:Deron
SG: Bell
SF: AK
PF Jefferson
C: Okur
-Milsap will get lots of minutes especially until Sloan is confident in Okur
Go ReAL!

I would like to see a starting lineup of:

Williams
Miles
Kirilenko
Jefferson
Okur

Off the bench with Millsap, Bell, and Hayward.

I think the best starting lineup would be:

Williams
Bell
Kirilenko
Jefferson
Okur

Williams, AK, and Jefferson will shine in this lineup(because Bell and Okur would be spreading the floor). The Jazz do very well when both Williams and AK are on the court. Both of them have amazing court vision and have a good basketball IQ. With their court vision, passing ability, and slashing ability. . .jefferson will get plenty of easy baskets.

Even though i love the Williams/AK combo, it might be better for AK to come off the bench. Price cant run the offense at all, AK can. Problem is, AK doesnt play very well when he comes off the bench. Whether it be motivational issues or world of warcraft, i dont know.

I am leaning towards AK starting though. He is a great help defender and we all know that Jefferson and Okur need all the help they can get.

I have been browsing these boards for a long time now, i decided i should start posting.
