I don't want Blake DeWitt back though. He's just another Mike Fontenot.

I'd be happy with a couple high-upside prospects in the low minors for the Theriot/Lilly package.

Lilly and Theriot for DeWitt -- #Cubs to #Dodgers is done

Ken_Rosenthal
#Cubs would get DeWitt, Class AA pitcher and possibly third player for Lilly/Theriot package. Not sure of financial exchange. #Dodgers #MLB

GYBE, we have a **** of good middle infield prospects including mainly Lee. Don't worry DeWitt is a stopgap or a future bench piece.

Oh I know. That's why I don't know why Hendry wanted DeWitt. Maybe he thinks he'll show something more in Chicago, so he can be flipped for more prospects in a year.

Deal is done. Lilly and Theriot to LA for DeWitt, Brett Wallach, and Kyle Smit. I made a new thread.

I don't know this was made during the offer period. I should probably get a new one without Morrison too.

Ok seriously, I'd like to see some real prospects. Bring in a manger for the long haul. I'd like a fierce and feisty Sandberg, but I know we'd be getting Mr. nice guy Sandberg, which I don't think is the right demeanor for this ball club and this market.

im going by what i just saw gammons reporting on mlb network.

Oh  sorry ****, that wasn't directed at you. I was referring to the no trade clauses and how difficult it's been to make deals for us.

If we could trade Lilly and then resign him for another 3 year deal, I think I'd do that. He's been pretty solid for the price.

Wood a Yank. Ughhhh. Go Mets!

Also, Berkman a Yank, wow. As if they needed more firepower.
