ct...you're right, that is an offer I can't refuse. Write it up and I'll accept. That's an unprecedented pick swap, best of luck the rest of the way!

The Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks have agreed on a deal!

The Houston Rockets send their 1st (#25), 2nd (#36), 3rd (#85), 4th (#96), 5th (#145), 6th (#156), 7th (#205), 8th (#216), 9th (#265), and 10th (#276) round picks.

The Dallas Mavericks send their 1st (#30), 2nd (#31), 3rd (#90), 4th (#91), 5th (#150), 6th (#151), 7th (#210), 8th (#211), 11th (#330), 12th (#331) round picks.

The trade is basically a pick swap up to the 8th round. After than, the Mavericks will have two high 9th round and two high 10th round picks at their disposal. Their 12-man roster will be complete by the 6th pick in the 10th round.

The Rockets completed this deal due to the convenience of having consecutive picks for the first 8 rounds. On every turn, the Rockets plan on making two picks at the same time, rather than being the type of team that allows the draft to unnecessarily drag on. The team is banking on other gm's reaching on some of their picks (especially this year's rookie class), allowing better players to drop.

POSSIBLY looking to trade down.

I'm four picks away, I have three guys that I want. If two of them go in the next two picks I will be looking to trade the #15 overall pick on the condition that the third player is not on the board when I pick.

Dallas Mavericks are still shopping their early 2nd round pick (#36). Looking to move down in the 2nd for additional depth, or to move up if the price is right.

Haha, well someone was bound to make a trade with him. I've wanted consecutive picks since the first build a team.

KLN...I feel bad not consulting with my Assistant GM (Thorn), but he hasn't been around today. You and CT have put together offers I just couldn't refuse. I guess he'll just have to understand.

Write it up and I'll accept. Good doing business with ya!

I'd still like to land another 1st or 2nd round pick.

On another completely random note, I uploaded the rosters to BAT 3.0 on XBox Live.

Return to New York Knicks
