Xavier Henry?

Post#1 » by desquivel18 » Fri Jul 30, 2010 9:01 pm

I keep reading about him not signing with memphis because of money, so how about having memphis sign him for what he wants and then trading our two 2nd rounders for him?
hes a good 3 point shooter who's really good playing off the ball

i would really like to add Henry in this team, hopefully his agent would demand a trade and the kings acquire Xavier's rights...

This has already been discussed before, and a lot of us like Henry.

It would take a LOT more than two 2nd rounders to get him though.

Yeah, he'd be awesome. That situation just seems plain (Please Use More Appropriate Word) though. They are really griping over his rookie scale??? Maybe they're just trying to drum up some trade interest because I don't get it otherwise.

trading jason thompson to memphis or trading kings next year 1st round draft pick to memphis, is the only way to get henry.

If Landry is clearly the frontrunner as long term solution at PF over Thompson, or vice versa, I'd be more than glad to move some of the excess out of the frontcourt and trade for Henry.

I don't see Thompson or Landry as the same player or one making the other expendable.

Until Whiteside is ready to contribute on an NBA team every night, there is no reason for the Kings to move Thompson or Landry. Without Brockman now, we have no need to rid ourselves of any "excess" of the frontcourt.

I would do that as long as it is lottery protected that year and top 5 the next. It can be unprotected in 2014.

I would be willing to do a 2014 lotto-protected or a 2015 top 5 protected at MOST.

I agree they are different players. But it isn't thompson who makes Landry expendable it's cousins who makes Landry expendable. Thompson is a compliment to Cousins both as a passer and as a guy who can shoot well from the mid range. Landry and Cousins would get in each others way, Cousins is gonna be in the post and Landry does his best work in the post, i just see Landry as being on the way out because cousins makes that possible.
