Free Agent Guards

Post#1 » by shannWOW » Sun Aug 1, 2010 4:27 pm

I read some where that the Lakers are talking to guards as possible replacements for Shannon Brown if he goes to NY. Who is still available?

I dont mind if we walk Shannon, i would take D. West over Shannon. Just keep him away from Kobe's mom and we're good.

folks are happy around here with farmar gone and now possibly shannon leaving. but they dont truly understand, with each piece, although small or large, but with each piece that leaves the team, a piece of chemistry, comradery, cohesiveness, and clutchness and knowing what to do in big situations leaves the team.

farmar believe it or not, HIT BIG SHOTS. there were key moments when we needed for him as a role player to step up and make a contribution, he had done that. same with shannon. but bring in new guys and we have NO IDEA how they'll perform.

we need stronger bench play.

Blake > Farmer and Brown. D. West is better than Framer or Brown. Shannon Brown is not getting resigned without Sasha being dumped in the process. That's the real issue. we are signing Character and Ebanks and calling it an offseason unless someone take Sasha. I would say also; unless someone takes Walton, but I just cracked open my 3rd beer and will need at least a few more to believe that will ever happen.

So let me get this straight.....you think Blake is uncoachable as Jordan was but Laker management did a good job of covering this up. But take a closer look, you think other teams didn't know that ? It's a reason he signed with the Nets and not a contender.

You think a guy like Barnes isn't hungry enough to win ? He'll fit in easy so will a vet like Theo who's never had a rep for being a dick in the locker room. Theo has been classy his whole career.

Bottom line is this.....Shannon and Jordan both was looking to get "their's". I don't sweat them leaving because they weren't on the floor during the last 5 minutes anyway.

Well if it Shannon or West or any one else. They will not make a lot of money. Lakers already went father that they wanted in the pay roll. So whoever wants to be that last guard on the bench better have saved his millions. Not going to be a lot of millions on this team.
