I feel like maybe you just haven't watched his game enough. And your negativity towards players you have no relationship with whatsoever is exactly the type of thing that ruins discussions.

Also, get off your high horse.

What happens for more often is that biased fans who don't have an open mind can't look at the big picture. That's what ruins discussions.

Exactly. So, my advice to you would be to sit down and watch some D-Rose tape. Not sure how you would go about finding that though, or if it's even available. I think you will find a pass first PG who is hesitant to take over (hopefully that changes this year).

It's absurd you pass judgment on an individual you haven't met. I don't know if you were put off by the test taking scandal, and thus kind of just blindingly hated on his game, or if it was the inverse.

Either way, I really do think you owe it to yourself to watch his game. He is one of many amazing basketball players in the league.

Perhaps it won't change the way you feel about D-Rose the person (even though you know nothing about his day to day life) but maybe you'll develop an appreciation for his skill set. There are very very few PGs in the league as talented as Rose. Don't turn a blind eye to that, you're only doing yourself a disservice. Embrace life's beauty, D-Rose included....and Durant, and Kobe, and James, and Wade, and D-Williams, and CP3, and Howard, etc etc etc. No need to hate on these players, even if you don't find pleasure in the way they carry themselves, they are still very very talented.

Now I am the one who will get off his high horse.

I must have missed the part where Duncan cheated on his SATs and lied about it, must have missed Duncan throwing up gang signs in a hazy room. Missed Duncan getting his record stripped from cheating. Must have missed Duncan driving 40 miles over the speed limit putting peoples lives in danger. Must have missed Duncan "accidentally cutting himself with a knife".

Just because Rose isn't good in front of the cameras doesn't make him humble or nice. As shown when he gets around his thug friends and shows his gang envy.

Rose plays selfish style of basketball that doesn't fit with the US teams goals. They already have enough scoring the need leadership, defense, and someone with a high bbiq to run the point. 3 things Rose lacks. It's like AI when he was playing unselfishly, he wasn't forcing a whole lot or dribbling out the shot clock. but he was pretty much useless if he didn't have the ball in his hands.

That's why Rose doesn't belong on the team that goes to the WC.

Colangelo needs to make a last second call to Duncan. Size and fundamentals=tailor made for FIBA basketball.
This could be Duncan's last chance to represent and bring home gold, plus he can provide more leadership than Billups.

Duncan's health has been declining. There is no way Duncan would accept the invitation if asked and even if he accepted the Spurs would talk him out of it.

I've watched at least 20 regular season games of Rose last year and have watched plenty more plays of him through Synergy. I've probably seen more of Rose than most Bulls "fans" have. Tell me what exactly have I said that has been incorrect?

It seems you have a reading comprehension the level of Derrick Rose so I'll try to make it clearer to you. Rose has a selfish style to his game and does none of the little things it takes to win. Rose plays a selfish style of basketball that does not fit this US team. It's not a selfish mentality, it's a selfish style of play, do you understand now? If Rose is a pass first PG than he must be one of the worse pass first players of all time, oh I know I should just buy into the Bulls fans delusion that he has no help around him to make any shots, if he did he'd average 20 APG right  It is simple, Rose needs the ball in his hands to be effective. He can't space the floor because he doesn't have a three point shot. He doesn't play defense at all, something the US desperately needs. He has a low basketball IQ. He's only effective with the ball in his hands, that's a selfish style and the mark of a loser.

Deng would be a much better option if he wasn't playing for the UK.

Where in that sentence do I say Rose could take Philadelphia to the finals if he replaced AI.

And who cares about AI being little? Midgets with a Napoleon complex?
