Diamond looked good. Hopefully he turns into something. Sounds like another Hendry project. A guy who was a top prospect/player, had a bunch of injuries and looking to rebound.

Well that winning lineup worked. Luckily I'm going to the game tomorrow and the Cubs are 4-1 when I go outscoring opponents 42-24.

Well that wasn't fun. Before the game, I was walking towards the Cubs dugout to see them warm-up and all of a sudden Jim Hendry pops out of one of the tunnels that leads to the concourse right in front of me and he was saying hi to an usher.

Even though Mateo got the loss, I thought his stuff looked really good.... He had a lot of movement to his fastball and a good slider. If he has some decent control he could be a future set up man type.
long ways to go yet, I know, but it was encouraging to see another guy with good stuff.

Trammell sure isn't impressing anyone to be the next manager. 0-4.

I'm not a big fan of Trammel, but small sample size... I thought he actually managed pretty well yesterday though.

Overall I would prefer Sandberg and going the rebuilding with young players route though.
