Boozer was a puss while he was with Utah, why sugar coat it?
The last game of the season with so much on the line really was typical Puss Boozer.
Chicago fans will be saying the same in a yr or two, no doubt about it.
Personally as a fan of the Jazz since they moved to Utah, I am super stoked that he is gone.
I think Jefferson is going to be a huge improvement.

Well put. The only thing I can add is refusal to even try on defense as to stay out of foul trouble and not get tired and worn down, so he can get his numbers on offense really used to piss me off. A loser who is all about himself.

I'd give Booz a bit more of a pass than some of these other fans here do.
I think he was somewhat intimidated by Gasol/Odom/Bynum ... I don't think it's that he didn't care if the Jazz lost to the Lakers; I think he might have cared too much. I think he took it personally that he just wasn't tall/long enough to compete with those guys and played tentatively as a result.
I do think he is concerned with stats; however, I never saw any indication that he would put stats over winning.
Boozer can be an important piece of a championship puzzle but not THE guy on a championship team. Even in college he was not the best or "key" player Duke's title team ... he was arguably the 4th option behind Jay-Will, Shane Battier, and Dunleavy (averaged 13.3 PPG, good for 3rd on the team just ahead of Dunleavy with 12.6 and Nate James with 12.3).
He was also hurt at a critical juncture for Duke during that 2001 championship season ... Duke rebuilt their team as a guard-dominated team after that and cruised to the Final Four. Boozer returned in the Final Four off the bench, and Duke wouldn't have won it without him. The final two games:
NCAA Semifinal vs. Maryland
Carlos Boozer 19 pts 4 rebounds off the bench on 7-8 shooting
Lonny Baxter (the man he was guarding) 10 pts 10 rebounds 5 fouls on 2-10 shooting
NCAA Final vs. Arizona
Carlos Boozer 12 pts, 12 rebounds off the bench on 5-9 shooting.
Loren Woods (the man he was guarding) 22 points, 11 rebounds on 8-15 shooting.
His next year he returned to Duke as more of a second option, averaging 18.2 and 8.7. The team failed to win the title.
As a Cavalier and even as a Jazzman he was always kind of a second banana. I think highly of Boozer and wouldn't bust on his character; however, I think he is physically fragile and not tall enough to compete with a frontline of Gasol/Odom/Bynum or even KG/Perkins/Big Baby. Any other frontline he can probably shred, though.
