What Would Get Jeff Green (rap fan question)

Post#1 » by Rapsobsessed7 » Tue Aug 3, 2010 4:56 am

hes a RFA next summer. Raps could potentially have cap space to go after him and they do have the Chris Bosh trade exception. Assuming we can dump Calderon using a 1st round pick or something wed have more than enough for a max offer.

Green isnt a max guy though but my question for you is how much is too much? What would you say no to if he was offered it. Is there a point where you would rather take the trade exception? Im just curious, i love the Thunder, their my 2nd favorite team and i hope my raptors follow your team mold because its so fun to watch.

So what do you think Jeff Green will get and how much would you pay before saying no? Also would you rather get a trade exception in order to get a true PF (the one thing your missing) for Green (at x amount of dollars). just curious, i come in peace :)

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

I do not care about your trade exception. Too much for Jeff Green is not really know yet. It really depends on the new CBA. But, if it was under this CBA I would not give him more than 9 per year for 5 years @ a total of $45 million (not an escalating deal). It would be my breaking point.

Ah there is absolutely nothing on the Raptors that interest me. Even Bargs. I'm not a fan of soft bigmen who take jumpers for a living.

Sorry but your roster is just bad, bad, bad, why do you think Bosh left?

He doesn't have to, but he would. His agent is David Falk. He's not going to take significantly less to play here. Or he would not have an agent like Falk.

From everything I have read about Falk he is a real mother f*cker to deal with.
Not pleased that Green has him as his agent tbh.

thanks for reading. I said if we offered him x amount of dollars what would your breaking point be. How much, how many years, ect. If the contract we offered was above your price range than would you take a Trade exception say for the amount that we would sign Jeff Green for. That trade exception would likely be somewhere between 12-13 million (because i think thats what it would take to get Jeff Green here) and wed send you our TE so that you could find a true PF for the price of 12-13 million.

I think 10.5 would be enough.

Although he's not a traditional big man I'd rather have Bargnani at the four than Green. He's taller, a better shooter from anywhere on the floor, better shotblocker, just a better fit at the four than Jeff.

Blind leading the blind in this thread.

1. Jeff Green wouldn't come to toronto unless dramatically overpaid (OKC seems to have a great thing going, Toronto doesn't.....only thing toronto has going for it is the city).

2. Why would Toronto want Jeff Green at the price it'd take....he's hardly a centrepiece player (very nice player yes, but not someone you build your team around)

3. Bargnani is a much more valuable asset than Jeff Green, even if Bargs is a soft wuss (7 foot players with his size and skill don't grow on trees)

4. Why would OKC need/care about a trade exception???
