I didn't see this coming. I thought for sure he'd come back for 1 more year. Great news for the Bears, although I always loved watching Favre play. That TD pass against SF last year in the waning seconds was insane. He still had what it took to play QB at a very high level, I guess his ankle just wasn't ready to take the pounding.

I thought he'd be back. Frankly, he still might be.

True. Cliff Levingston will believe he's retired when Rosenfels or Jackson are taking snaps from center in week 1, not anytime before.

Between not having the Williams wall for 4 games and the downgrade at QB, the Vikings (ICLO) have fallen to a firm #2 in the division behind the Packers right now, probably close to even with us depending on how we do.

Has this been confirmed? The last I heard they were going to get away with not having to miss any time.

Last Cliff Levingston heard, a court upheld the 4 game suspension, but that was a while ago.

Last ruling was in favor the NFL, but there's another appeal to go through before the Wall is suspended. I think.

This had me a little worried:

I hope he's gone but you never know with Princess Favre and Prince Childress

Now he hasn't decided according to Ed Werder and will play if healthy. Shocker there.

I wouldn't put it past Favre that he released that info. about texting teammates just to stir the pot.

Childress let three of his players miss practice to fly down to Mississippi to get him, then he made his coaching staff lie to the press about where said players were at.

What a joke of a franchise.

it's pretty sad when you openly put that type of faith in a player who you will have probably for only a season....what does that say about your future
