Next Coach?

Post#1 » by LApwnd » Tue Aug 3, 2010 7:04 pm

Who would you like and why? If its one of the current assistant, do we still run Tri? Me personally I like Rudy T to come back  , he really didn't have much to work with when he 1st got the job, I just think he's a solid coach who will still make use of our Bigs correctly. 2ndly Sloan, this guy is loyal as they come so its pretty much a "fantasy" but if theres any coach out there that garners the same respect as Phil its got to be Sloan, also he runs a very efficient offense and wouldn't be to far off from the triangle.

lol oh hell no...

But by default, B. Shaw... would have liked to have B. Scott for defensive purposes and bring back Showtime @ Staples but B. Shaw will probably prove me wrong.

on side note, I like Chuck "the rifleman" Persons as an assistant coach. especially hoping to add accuracy and range to some of our players.

B. Shaw.

We got to keep the Tri offense going until Kobe retires, Gasol is gone, and the team has to rebuild

Id say BShaw aswell. But you gotta think that Cleveland is going to totally bust this year and Byron Scott will want out quick. Still leaving the chance open that Scott can be our next coach..I think thats very possible.

I think it will be Brian Shaw...and he could be very good.

I would like to see Byron Scott. I think his experience is very good, plus having come from both the Pat Riley and Larry Brown trees I think is a positive.

He has played with Hall of Famers which I think would help him coach this talent laden team.

I also like the idea of playing more of an open court style and probably more aggressive defense with presses and traps.

Brian Shaw.

NO to Byron Scott. Every team he has coached, the players quickly lost respect for him, and mentally checked out.

Pretty much a given that it would be Brian Shaw or Byron Scott.

The only person I can see getting Shaw's seat would be Coach K.

LOL at Rudy T. He is no longer relevant, plus he had his chance.

Brian Shaw easily. Wouldn't mind seeing Derek Fisher as well maybe several years from now.

Brian Shaw, he's learned from the greatest coach of all time and I think he will be ready to take the reigns over from Phil when he retires.
