Delonte West

Post#1 » by sackings916 » Tue Jul 20, 2010 10:27 pm

Delonte West could be one of the better cheap options as this point. He has some off court issues but on the court he's a good defender, a good athlete that can finish at the rim, can make plays off the dribble and is a solid shooter. He can play both guard spots and would be a good complement to Tyreke. His contract is partially guaranteed as well, so it would be a low-risk move.

Noo way. His off-court issues will ruin this young team. Lebron will then drop 70 on us. He would be a good fit but I'd pass.

I dont think Delonte is a bad person just a little out there. Again he's on a 1 year partially guaranteed contract, so if he gets out of line cut him an move on.

Um, you do know he was being sarcastic in that video right? I dont see how any of those vids you posted are negatives.

No we dont need him pissing off Tyreke Evans.

He's an expiring PARTIALLY guaranteed contract. If he does anything cut him.

Dude carries more baggage than a bellboy at the Palms. Pass...head cases need not apply.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

Keep him as far away from Tyreke's mum as possible.

On paper (in term so skill and our need) a great fit but just is a NO NO for a number of reasons. The last thing we need with out roster is a headcase.

When Tyreke was talking about veteran presence he sure as hell didn't think of Delonte West

Doubt the Blazers would give up Mills, but if we could grab him somehow I'm all for it.

When he came out of college I liked Delonte alot, but he has some major baggage and off-court issues as people have already said. That just doesn't fit the current state of our team. I'd much rather go after Mo Williams.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.

TWolves traded for Delonte and per Wiretap they are likely to waive him. I'd sign him to non guaranteed invite to camp.

He was just waived by the T-Wolves

That would be taking on Ron-ron take 2.

There are some headcases that even this franchise cannot straighten out.

delonte west is definately one of them. sometimes its a real eye opener how some celebrities are just like normal ppl...in our heads who would think that an NBA player would be so screwed up in the head (i mean it happens, but its not automatic to the fan to think that of a player) anybody could be crazy even NBA players. it's sad really cause with his talent and experience delonte west could help many teams in the league, however most teams won't give him a chance now that his problems are now SO out in the open. we'll pass on him as well.
