It's official: Evans, Mayo, Wallace and McGee cut. 3 more to go.

GQ Hot Dog shouldn't be on an NBA court ever again.

I noticed it too but didn't want to have to defend my statement. The only two shots Billups made, when he got hot, was when Steph was on the bench. Billups hit those two shots back to back and then Steph came in and shut him down again.

Yeah, I noticed that too. It just seemed too audacious, lol. Though that's the first thing I mentioned - his defense looks stellar.

That's the sad part about Lee getting injured. This might have been an opportunity to see how well he would play defense with good players around him and against him.

F that, if Lee played he would have ended up like Ronny last season...nagging injury all year long while playing half the season.

SI's Mannix predicts Curry in. sounds like he might be a coach K favorite.

So predictable.... Curry's known for his long range shot.....Add to that coach K can see in person his passing and defense are good enough to add more than just the jump shot and it's a no brainer. Plus Coach K said he made a mistake by not recruiting Curry in college, annnd he's just brought in Curry's lil brother to play at Duke.
To easy.

Side note, but, hopefully our PR department ends up picking him up like the Lin signing if he elects to play in the NBA.

I always thought I saw something in Steph's defense that makes me think he can become a solid defender when he gets a little stronger and wiser.

Curry gave effort from what I saw. His basketball IQ is the highest on our team, but his physical inabilities led him to get burned by more talented guys. His great hands are going to make him a great ball thief throughout his career.

Mylie, you nailed it. It seemed like he wasn't even trying for the first half of the season and slightly beyond. That was probably the most troubling, it seemed to be in part a lack of effort but also seemed to be somewhat physical as well. Hopefully he matures some more physically. We saw the same problem with Monta when he first came into the league.
He was unable to compensate for his height disadvantge due to his lack of strength (typical of most teenagers) but it was just this last year (and towards the end of last year when he came back for that short spell) that it's clear he's much stronger (than he was), just as quick and very good jumping ability which explains his major improvement on defense this year. Also why Paul is so good on D (even though he's very small). He's extremely small (as well as very smart).

I didn't see any increased effort on the defensive end as the year went along. I don't agree with this observation that Stephen wasn't trying in the beginning. The very first game I believe was against New Orleans where he picked Chris Paul's pocket 2 or three times, and once opponents figured out that he was aggressively going for the ball his issue became foul trouble in the first part of the season. He got better with that as the year went along but the effort was always there. His defense was never really good, but he always seemed to be trying.
