What exactly do you expect to be going on? GMs are not going to be talking trade with their FIRST PICK, usually that happens after a core is developed and GMs start rethinking their philosophy on how they were envisioning building their team. Yeah, the picks are rolling at a bit slower pace but that's due to dudes holding things up by trying to broker trades while they are on the clock (which is against the rules). Just relax, maybe since things aren't as hectic it's because GMs are putting more thought into how they construct their teams.

xKLNx Phenom wrote:I actually agree with 5494, but it's been dull because it's going at a slower pace than usual, and we started this one without even completely finishing 3.0. Mags, TBCH, you should have waited.... and not start until 3.0 is completely done. Why did we just throw it out, when 2k2/Blind/4PP put a lot of hard work into it?

Here's what I think we should do.... Just snowballing out an idea....

4 Hours per pick, but the BAT is shut down from 1:00 AM until 8:00 AM.

So it's basically from 8:00 AM to 1:00 AM with a 4 hour advance.

I agree on 4 hours per pick but you can't shut it down 1am to 8am because it's not fair to punish those of us who are available late. If anything their should be a grace period from 1am to 8am where you won't be skipped if you miss your pick BUT those who are around can still make their selection if they are on the clock.

nyknicks2k2 wrote:Somewhere in the 5th round. I have a long wait ahead though I really doubt I'll end up waiting till then.

Damn! 5th round? You really sacrificed quality of depth by securing that Nash/Roy backcourt.

How about you get 8 hours if you're on the clock from 1:00 AM to 8:00 AM?

We got 3 votes for this idea so far...

^Time limits won't be changing. The most recent change from BAT 3 to 4, was a reduction in time from 8 Hours to 6 Hours (up to Rd 5), then it's 4 Hours after that.

We're all adults, or close to. We all have Jobs, School, etc. You'll never be able to accommodate everyone.

In all fairness, mags, we should have a vote-type thing for this just like every other rule we've made.

Yeah no, not for the time limits. Fudging with them so much won't solve the issue of GMs picking late. Infact, doing the above will create far more problems with GMs overlapping Picks, AND us Mods are not going to sit around and wait for Picks to come in or update things 24/7 like that bro.

Updating this thing is alreayd a pain in the ass with all the depth I created when I did the Rules back in 2.0 already.

Dynamic, great for uptempo fastbreak buckets. Lots of alley-oops, pick and rolls, etc. Just make sure you get a good backup PG for Kidd since he's up there in age. Also, Kidd could also average more rebounds than Stoudemire.

Kidd was one of my choices but I didn't think he would work well with Evans because they're both ball dominant guards and it would be redundant.

As for your question I think they're gonna work great together, good atletic combo and Kidd can get Amare the ball at any time.

The time limit in the first round definitely should have been less than 6hours that way you send a strong msg right out the gate lack of attention to participating will not be tolerated.

I would have made it 4 or 5hrs....

Yeah, I tried requesting this already buddy, but Mags won't have it, even though 7 people have already vouched for it.

Especially when you consider this B.A.T. called for ast GM's. So some teams have or could have more than 2 posters managing a team. There's really no excuse for this since this is the 4rth one we're doing. Everyone who signed up knows the drill. I'm not complaining in the sense of being overly upset the first 1-4 rounds always drag along but do take exception to anyone who feels posters don't have a right to complain..... because they do.

If we do 5.0 please whoever is Modding right off the top let every participant know Time Limits Will Be Enforced With A Heavy Hand.......THE END!!!!!

I don't mean to be a bother but can a Mod update the trades. I don't want our rosters to get messed up because right now it says the Bobcats selected Chauncey Billups, which is not true because the Wizards traded for that pick and than selected Billups. Thanks. The trades are all in one of blinds recent posts in this thread.

We should be averaging around 20 picks a day. We're barely hitting 10.
