Seems like a knowledgeable guy. We'll see if that translates him into a solid 3rd string backup C when the season starts.

I'm a fan, and I think he's capable backup center and a smart signing by us...I hope he brings that Duke work ethic and Bball IQ...

I agree. I think that his size and length will be good for us on defending around the rim. Good non-guaranteed rookie signing.

He's a good guy and a hard worker, as long as he can "unlearn" some bad Duke habits, he might stick.

Shocker! You are a fan of Frankenstein!!!

I have no problem with having him sit in a suit every night to be Brook's practice dummy...and if someone gets hurt to take the court now and then.

But lets be honest JJ...why you are FAN of giant back up doofus who makes Josh Boone look like Lebron athletically speaking??? :D

Come on...say it...its not for Duke....its for?????

JERSEY BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I swear to god if you had your way we would have:

Bibby
Malik Allen
Al Harrington
Troy Murphy
Tim Thomas
Shaq

...on our team by now!!!!

JERSEY BABY!!!!!

My love for Jersey is second to no one :wordyo: ...but I'm not interested in the team above, though I would of probably signed Al for a 3yr 10mil contract...

...I hate Duke (St John's fan), but have the upmost respect for Coach K and what he does for College basketball...Boone, I never liked, always frustrated me...(though, I know he worked hard)...

I could care less about numbers, stats or birth place and as bad as this might sound, I'm just happy we found a replacement for Boone, its a very refreshing thought...whether he's the better player or not, remains to be seen...like you said he'll proabably be wearing a suit more than a jersey...

Rebounding might be the same, though Zoubek is a good rebounder(*off rebs), but I think he'll box out twice as good as Boone...I like his frame at the Center position where Boone was more of a PF playing C, but this kid trumps Boone with the greater basketball IQ...We all saw at Duke how well he can pass out of the post which is another plus...

By far I am looking forward to Brian minimizing mistakes on the court with any minutes played, in
addition to having the better hands of the two ( sorry to all those Boone fans out there)...

You know I am busting your chops...but you have wanted just about any guy who was from Jersey at some point over the years...thus the origin of my good natured teasing. Which isnt uncommon...fans do that for sure.

As for Zoubek....I have no problem taking on anyoe who is a non drafted player with a skill set. I have no dillusions he will be anything other than a 13th man though. He is never going to be a legit rotation player in the NBA.

Now, I dont see a thread going for the other non drafted scrub we had at SL. So I would atribute this one to two things:

1- He played for Duke so he is a well known player
2- He is FROM NEW JERSEY.

Other than that? Carry on!

That's so true. I remember those passes from Kidd that would become turnovers because Boone couldn't handle the ball.
