Shannon Brown ready to return to Lakers?

Mitch Kupchak has been “optimistic” for some time now about getting Shannon Brown to re-sign with the Lakers, and it appears with good reason.

Brown’s agent said Brown is prepared to return to the Lakers on Thursday instead of taking a higher-profile one-year offer from the New York Knicks, according to the New York Post.

Brown could’ve been in line to be the starting shooting guard for the Knicks instead of just competing for backup guard minutes with Matt Barnes, Steve Blake and Sasha Vujacic, if Vujacic stays a Laker. Agent Mark Bartelstein said of the Lakers’ multi-year offer: “The chance to go back and win a third championship for the Lakers is a tough thing to pass up.”

that's the ny post article, he might come cheaper per season, but longer in contract (good future trade piece perhaps?)
