Kareem Abdul Jabbar 1975-1976

2,275Points, 1,383Rebounds, 413Assists, 338Blocks, and 119Steals
27.7 PPG-, 16.9 RPG, 5.0 APG, 4.1 BPG, and 1.45SPG
Led the league in Total Rebounds, Defensive Rebounds, Blocks and PER
2nd in Field Goals and Defensive Rating
NBA MVP
All NBA 1st Team
Defensive 2nd Team (He got robbed... How do you lead the league in Defensive rebounds and Blocks, have the second highest Defensive Rating, and not make first team defense?)

Super tough decision... It remains to be seen how smart it was but I had to have Kap in his prime... 8-)

1975-1976 Kareem:
27.7 PPG, 16.9 RPG, 5.0 APG, 4.1 BPG

Interesting Statistics about Kareem:
Kareem is the Lakers all-time leader in Games, Minutes, FG, Offensive Rebounds, Defensive Rebounds, Blocks and Personal Fouls.

Good pick.

Well the top 4 is as expected, I'm guessing the next 3 will be as well.

Thanks Man... The Lakers have a lot of great Centers/Years to choose from so I'm not sure it was the wisest choice from a building the total team perspective, but it was just too hard to pass up...

Build from the inside out right? 8-)

Yeah - it is tough to decide. Whoever is picked at #5 determines whether or not I go big.

With the 6th overall pick in the All-Time Lakers Draft, GK selects:
1968-1969 Wilt Norman Chamberlain

Image

7'1" - 275lbs
University of Kansas

20.5 PPG
21.1 RPG
4.5 APG

1.8 FPG
58.3 %FG
45.3 MPG

Blocks per game are not known. However according to Jack Ramsay, "Harvey (Pollack) said he used to tell one of his statisticians to keep track of Wilt's blocks in big games... One night, they got up to 25".

Interesting Stat on Elgin Baylor:
He leads the Lakers all-time in Total Rebounds.

J-Far/Dcash fail at updating Twitter.

When I'm away, if I can't look up season, can you guys just pick which one seems best?

Just in case it got skipped over as the last post on the previous page. 17 24 16, it is your pick!

With the 7th overall pick in the All-Time Lakers Draft, 17 24 16 selects:
1965-1966 Jerry West
ImageImage
6'2"
31.3 PPG
7.1 RPG
6.1 APG

47.3 FG%
40.7 MPG

In the last year of his career, when they started keeping steals, he averaged 2.5 per game so it wouldn't be a reach to think he average a full one higher in his prime playing 10 more minutes.

I'm sure the picks will slow down a little next round when there's sure to be more deliberation for each of us.
Thank you, Phil.

I don't know who to pick next round :x. The Lakers have only had less than 400 people play for them all-time, so this could be interesting in round 10 :x.

Quick question. Can I pick Kareem from a different season or is he off the board?

Know things get hard.
Picks from 1-7 were given. Magic, West, Baylor, Wilt,Jabbar, Shaq and Kobe. Those are all superstars not just allstars.
