Do you consider Danny Granger a 'FRANCHISE' player?
I want to hear your opinions on this, Granger averaged over 20 PPG, and is the best player on the team, when you look at his accolades, he's pretty decent, one time all star, most improved player, etc. BUT, do you think, he's the main dude we build around? Or do we upgrade to someone else?

I don't really consider him a 'FRANCHISE' player, but there are very few of those. I think he's paid appropriately and a good player and teammate and we should keep him around.

Yes he will if the right opportunity presents itself. It WON'T be Indiana though. Tell you that much. Granger is the best player you have on your team. Be happy. You could have no borderline star. Just be happy. Cause imo Granger won't be there long. He will bolt once he has the chance.

Well let's put it out there like this. Ever since Lebron James came into the league, the SF position has gone from a sidekick role, your Jalen Rose's to Scottie Pippen's, all the way to the point where you rarely if ever notice the shooting guard anymore, or where they are the sidekick.

he's our franchise player for the foreseeable future. don't know if he'll be a Reggie who added something new to his game every summer for years and years, but he won't be a Jermaine either who talked team publicly but poisoned first our locker room and then Toronto's. I see no reason to trade him although my might someday draft someone who becomes Batman and relegates him to Robin. that might even be Hibbert.

And that's why he signed an extension.

IDK yet. Reggie's regular season numbers were never overwhelming, but he developed his rep by his playoff performances and clutch shooting. But much like Reggie needed a PG to get him the ball and bigs to set up picks, Danny needs that same type of help... That and a postgame. Most guys we deem "franchise" are Iso players, like Kobe, LBJ, Wade, etc. But then there are the Karl Malones, Stocktons, Dwight Howards, Steve Nashes of the bball world, who are great at what they do, but depend on others to be successful.
So, I say all that to say, IDK. Danny can be really good, maybe great, but he's gonna have to get in a better system and have better players to help him realize that potential.
