Milwaukee accepts. We are happy with the results of this trade. We liked the combination of Jennings and Duncan, but we felt like Billups and Noah better fit the makeup of where this team is headed. Billups is the savvy veteran PG we have been looking for to put our team over the top. Additionally, we feel like a defensive, rebounding center was better for our future than an aging Duncan. While we may have downgraded in talent there, we've made up for it and more with the addition of Sixth Man of the Year Jamal Crawford. He will give our second unit the scoring punch we've desperately needed.

Atlanta accepts. It was inevitable that either Noah or Gasol would be traded and the best offer came for Noah. We lose a couple starters, but couldn't pass up the chance at adding a young and promising point guard like Jennings. Especially considering the uncertainty with the future at that position for our team. Delfino is pretty much a cap filler, though we might bring him back if certain things fall in the off-season. Good defense and 3pt shooting off the bench is always welcomed.

WHOA. Just before we confuse anyone, the Detroit 2nd received by OKC is 2012, not 11. I told this to JC when we were talking.

That being said, I accept. Not sure how Portland got all of that, but kudos to him. Yi is a very intriguing prospect who brings much needed shooting with Evans, Aminu, Hibbert, etc. not having the most range. Wes Matthews has been a target for a long time. His defense is top-notch. He's another one of those hustle and work ethic guys.

OKC accepts their part of the deal. We trade TMac for 2011 2nd rounders from San Antonio and Denver. We like adding some 2nd rounders so we can improve our Eoropean franchise, and once we decided we wanted to win now, TMAC had to go. This move guarantees us getting past the 1st round of the playoffs

NYK accept. We never really had Bayless, he was just someone to make the Bryant/Roy deal go through. We give him back, plus we get a cheat prospect.

Bayless was just filler in the Bryant/Portland deal, so he's giving him back essentially. Never wanted him.

Tough deal for us, we downgrade from the best C in the league (by a fair margin) to the 2nd best C in the league.

Bogut is only 25 and had a breakthrough season last year. He put up 16/10/2.5 on 52% and made the All-NBA 3rd team. We really like his game on both ends of the floor, and his passing is very good for a center.

LMA is the perfect compliment at PF. 18/8, only 24 and his perimeter game fits nicely with our team.

Batum is already one of the best defenders in the league and he is only 21 years old. He shot 41% from 3 on 5.2 attempts.

This leaves us with Williams/Sefolosha/Batum/LMA/Bogut and caproom for the upcoming offseason. We accept.

Pick involved in this trade but the pick might be taken out under BlackIce's approval....To allow the other trade to go through...

How does this circumvent a rule? It doesn't. And it doesn't matter if it isn't value for value. There are a litany of reasons New York could make this trade.

1. Dislike for Bayless.
2. Love for Pendergraph.
3. Salary dump.
4. Outstanding PG depth.
5. Need for a big man to round out the rotation.

There is no reason that it shouldn't happen. At all.

IF it is prearranged that Bayless was to be shipped back, it does circumvent the rules and that is exactly what NY implied with his reasons for accepting the trade.

and value for value matters that is why we have a veto system.

speaking of which...

Any veto requests for this trade must be sent to co-commish AKA me and not SamBone as he is part of this trade.

You have absolutely NO proof that it was prearranged. NONE what-so-ever. Regardless, are we not allowed to trade a player back to the team they came from? If that's the case, 3 or 4 of my trades are invalid.

Value for value does matter in SOME cases, but not always. There are so many other reasons that people make trades. Maybe he wants another 2.5 million to chase FAs with. If this trade gets vetoed because of bull like this, then find another person to play as Orlando.

Neither trade checker or the trade machine have Matthews listed as BYC. I do not think that he is. He was signed as a RFA, not given an extension off of his rookie contract.

BYC has nothing to do with extensions. It has to do with how much raise in salary a player receives compared to old contract.

Neither TM or TC have it listed but they are not completely up to date on everything either. I already had checked into Matthews earlier in the game and found out about his BYC then.

I was under the impression that if you were a free agent, you could not become BYC. But I could be wrong.

Per loserX:

No, you can't be BYC if you sign with a different team than the one you were on. He would have been BYC if the Jazz had signed him to that contract, iirc.

Actually I already found it...

"if you re-sign a player and give him a big raise, then for a period of time his trade value will be lower than his actual salary."

http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm#Q76

So you are correct, he is not BYC since he did not resign.

I was reading stuff from Portland fans talking about him being BYC and it stuck in my head.
