Man people need to get a subscription to basketball-reference around here. Disturbing lack of knowledge.

On Glen Rice, guy's a 43.4% Three-point shooter coming into LA and then under-performs at 37.6%
Imagine if he would have been on top of his game nailing 43 or 44%?

the list looks cool to me tbh.
Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

for my money and 3point enjoyment, it was nick van exel.

this guy would jack and jack from what seemed anywhere behind the line and sink the 3s.

i remember the 'ol boston garden, just before they closed, nickey V was standing behind the line and sank a late game heartbreaker. not long after that, they closed up the garden and it was never heard from again.

anyhow, for all of his Aholeness, he did bring exciting times when he was here. excitement, yes. championships, no. but heck, a fan of the good times, is also a fan during the bad times.

A certain big man who likes giving himself all kinds of nicknames thought Van Exel took too many threes instead of feeding the "Big Dog" and had him shipped out of town.

I know there was not 3 pt line but
I think Jerry West would be near the top.

iki4life wrote:for the 3 seasons that he played, GLEN (g-money) RICE was by far our best 3 point marksman in lakers history.....

if you watch 98-2000, he was just DEADLY beyond the arc.

one of my favorite glen rice moments was game 7 of the 2000 WCF vs the blazers....i believe it was 81-78 in the 4th quarter with just a couple of minutes left, until glen rice hit the game tying 3 to make it 81-81, resulting in a crowd-burst, and leading the lakers push to win the series.
one of the best moments ive seen since he was my favorite player for a very long time.

Truly one of most memorable moments of glen rice

Just hope that Blake doesn't come in with a really good pct so far and then under perform. That'd make me sad.

LOL! it sure is...

Ive always liked the way cooper and bscott shot the 3. Cooper even more. He'd pull the ball way back almost over his head and shoot.

Very interesting read. Not terribly surprising, but it's cool to compare current players to retired players' numbers.
