What awful timing to announce a retirement

Very un-Sapp-like

He and Favre could both be inducted into Canton the same day. Fitting considering all the battles between the two.

Equally fitting that Sapp chose this day to announce the filing of the paperwork.

in his heyday, this dude was a beast! unstoppable! this guy not only had the strength, but just the otherworldly speed for a lineman. he was just blow up and shoot through offensive lines and crush QBs or RBs.

during his peak, no way he was singled up. actually never. if you didnt stick a double team on this guy, he was gettin through. just a beast up the middle. not too many of those type of ball players with the all out motor and keeps running. the power and blow up plays in the middle. and the speed. again, those types dont grow off of trees.

Ah, the days of Sapp planting Favre on his ass and them both getting up headbutting each other, grinning from ear to ear, pat each other on the rear and go their separate ways.
