So, what, are we supposed to fall on our knees and ask for forgiveness now that he got around to thanking us? Just like all the proceeds from his hour defecation....er decision went to charity (which they didnt) his thanking us Clevelanders is an empty offering.
WE know how he really feels, he is just backing down now that he has figured out that the vast majority of NBA fans think he is a piece of sh*t. He doesnt want to face the music this upcoming season, so he is trying to make his leaving look like something it isnt. Not even man enough to own up to his actions, but I guess that is not surprising considering what we learned about him in the playoffs this past season.

C'mon Cavs fans I don't get it? Why do you hate Lebron so much after all good he has done for your organisation. He took this team from hell and went as far as to the Finals. You shouldn't act like some freakin' teenagers?! I agree he wasn't as agressive in the Playoffs and he announced his decision in a wrong way but c'mon he is a human being and he has a right to decide where he wants to play and where he doesn't. You can't treat him like you own him or smth

^We don't appreciate clueless responses asking why we dislike Lebron after he knifed CAV fans on National T.V. on ESPN (BSPN).

The CAVs organization bent over backwards for him and his crew of leaches. Two years ago the CAVs had as much cap space projected for this off season as Miami, but Lebron got short-term moves to chew up that cap space and then skipped town in the worst way in free agency. The previous post is teenager and clueless about what happened. Lecon held the CAVs franchise hostage for three seasons and we don't need Lebron groupies to tell us about his rights. Most of us are CAVs fans first and not front running Lebron type fan boys.

The OP should have posted this on the Miami board since it is a PR move that they would appreciate more.

Cavs fans have every right to feel they way they do about Lebron. To them it was a marriage between them and Lebron, but where they were 100% supportive of Lebron he was never quite so supportive.

I'm not going to get to deep into it (cause its not my place) but in the short time he has been a Heat he has done more recruiting then he did in the last 2 years for Cleveland (insert Trevor Ariza).

So you would be OK if someone you trusted, respected and admired came up to you and sledge hammered you between the eyes in front of everyone?

You are in your mid-30s, not bad-looking. You do smoke and drink, but not often.

So you have this girlfriend. You love her very much. She's good looking, has a nice body. She can also cook and is great in the bed. The thing she wants most in her life is having a baby. You recently proposed to her. She said she was not sure. You did lots of things to prove to her you are committed. You're even going as far as giving up on your smoking and drinking.

And then one day, she decides to throw a party and invites all her family and friends, as well as yours. She invited you as well.
During the party, she announces that she's breaking up with you, and decides to go for a man who she thinks is better than you because he is slightly younger and lives a healthier lifestyle, which translates into a higher chance of fertility.
All that in front of everyone both you and she know.

Then at this point, you realize love is such an overrated "thing". So you go out and bad mouth her. She doesn't apologize, or even show any sort of remorse towards how she broke up with you.

At least not until your friends finally gang raped her, just to teach her a lesson.

C'mon fellow Cavs fans and to other pundits, DO NOT be so gulable(sp) to think that he REALLY meant that because if he did he would have mentioned it in his first letter. That was called DAMAGE control by his camp because he cam under criticism for not thanking the city of Cleveland in the first place, ONE thing you should have leraned from Lebron already and if you have not then shame on you, is that he talks out of 2 sides out of his mouth and you cannot trust anything he says, He proved that in 7 years in cleveland and with 'The Decision'. Please dont be too ignorant to buy any crap from this guy, its all about trying to cover his but which is all he is about anyways.

  Pretty poetic!
But the girl (James) is now happy an if you are a real fan of Lebron then that should be all that matters.

Good luck in the future nevertheless!

The LeBron fans are gone except coming here to troll. All those left are CAVS fans. Fact is all this idiotic temperature taking of Cavs fans just makes me hate LeBron even more. Fact is, LeBron and his band of idiots have botched his transition from the very beginning and there is nothing he can do to fix that. Everything since that has just served to show how badly it has been handled. Waiting till now to thanks Cavs fans just points out that he hasn't done it til now. I think I saw it best on Around the Horn when someone said he just needed to go away until the season started. What he really should have done was played in the worlds and that might have help his PR a bit but the fact that he backed out for a movie (that has been delayed anyway) eliminated even that as a chance to show him as something other than an egotistical jack ass.

We really need to have a sticky that is titled "Why we hate LeBron". It can be written by a few of us and revised into one long post. I am frankly tired of people who just do not get why we are angry. Although, I suppose those who do not get it, never will.

You Cleveland fans deserved much better. He has no pride and dignity. The way he handled his free agency, his "Decision" is spitting in Cleveland fans face.
Don't ever let this piece of **** to feel welcomed in your city again.
You gave it all to this bastard and got betrayed.

I really do hope that your organization finds a way to be a very successful again.

I am not even angry with Lecon. He made his bed, and even his false apologies wont prevent him from lying in it. I believe most NBA fans will see through this lie and will treat him as he deserves to be treated. We Cavs fans know this is about damage control as has been stated.
What makes me angry is the Lecon jock sniffers and the morons coming here just to try to get a rise out of us Cav fans. Actually, I am not angry but just tired of them. Maybe a sticky for "morons who support Lecon", or something along those lines.

Lebron in full damage control mode--but my god, you can't undo what he did. Not while he's still playing at any rate.

first off, who cares? second, lebron no longer plays for the cavs and therefore outsiders to this board need to stop posting articles on him

Looks like you answered your own question.

Btw, almost no one I talk to locally hates him for leaving, they hate him for the way he left. Any human being should no better than to do that, but more importantly given many earlier comments, he definately should have known better than to do that to Cleveland.
Keep in mind that Cleveland fnas gave him the benefit of the doubt when he quit during the playoffs. It wasn't until evidence started mounting that he likely already had his bags packed that the hate started. Prior to that it was just confusion about why he'd do that.
