Re: OT: NBA League Pass Broadband
I have been debating about this for a very long time now. I live in Houston for the majority of the year (I am a full time student, I have an apartment there and it is very much my home.) I do however commute to Fort Worth my hometown fairly often (roughly once a month). I have given a lot of thought to NBA league pass broadband because it would let me catch in theory both mavs games and bulls games. I was wondering what the start up cost was because last year I bought an app on my iphone that allowed me to listen to the radio which was alright but I would much rather have the game up on my macbook or ps3 (does anyone know if there is a way to do broadband across my ps3 to my tv?) while I dive through the wonderful world of the day to day life of a political science major who dreams of overachieving.

I had the same problem trying to see Rockets games. I had Fox Sports Houston but sometimes I'm too lazy to turn on the TV.
Anyway I use UltraSurf (http://www.ultrareach.com/). It's a free program that, when run, opens a Internet Explorer window that has your IP and location hidden as well as a few other features to hide you. Launch LPBB from the IE window and you're good to go. Sometimes the progress bar will get stuck at 90% or something when loading LPBB but that's probably just the program handing you a bad IP, restart it as needed and you'll be good.

They go by IP address so the blackout is dynamic based on where you are accessing the games so if you travel to LA, then the Lakers & Clippers games are blacked out, but, the Bulls will not be.

If you got the money though, League Pass is awesome. I've purchased it the last two seasons and it's well worth it. If you do buy it, do it through your cable or satellite company as you then get the online access free. If you buy it online, you have to pay extra for the TV portion.
it is def worth it. what's $170 over 7+ months? the nfl sunday tickets is ridiculously more expensive and that's just for 18 weeks
best part of the package is you get NBA TV channel. Rick Kamla is awesome
my only gripe is that the only games broadcasted in HD are on the NBA TV channel. (my cable provider is RCN)
