I would have gone a different way...still, it's a solid pick. You need a perimeter player who can create for himself though...that's something I learned from the last BAT. I'd try to swing Kidd for a playmaking/scoring sg and draft a pg with your next pick. There are still MANY pgs available who are flying under the radar.

Seems as if you're gonna struggle with scoring, but it may be to early to assume that.

The Dallas Mavericks are looking to move up in front of their next selection (145). We would like to keep both 145 and 156, but would begin an offer with #172 (6th). Email me any ideas, willing to take back a 13th in the right deal.

You can't trade current pick that's on the clock(future picks sure) nor can you hold up the draft in order to complete a trade before you make a pick. And of course KLN is at the heart of this again.

really? i think the combo of kidd, ariza, amare is a good amount of scoring. i mean, yeah, do need a scoring SG, but i dont think its that bad. offense and defense, esp. with mcgee.
