Spain vs. Slovenia at 8pm (spain).
When I finish a game, they ask me "how did it go? how many points did you score?", when the real question should be "what have you done today to help your team win?". - Ricky Rubio.

Surprised we absolutely raped Russia like that. Diamantidis, Zisis, and Calathes all got hurt though. Hopefully nothing too serious.

Rondo plays in the NBA, won a championship as a starting PG, is an excellent defender.

Rubio doesn't play in the NBA.

Rubio is 4 years younger. We can judge in 5 years what Rubio has on Rondo and what not.
That is simply not a debate for the next 3 years.

Interesting about Calathes. When he entered the draft Hollingers draft rater thing, which I think is pretty good for non-freshman rated him really high and he went on record saying he is absolutely an NBA talent. How did he do in Europe this year.

Also Maciej Lampe played in a summer league game for the CAvs this year and I was sort of impressed. He was in much better shape and more mobile than I remember in his first go around. Seemed to me like he could stick in the right situation

Maciej Lampe just dropped 18 and 11 while his Polish Hammer teammate, Marcin Gortat had 10 and 12. I think Lampe could definitely find a roster spot somewhere when people like Kwame Brown still manage to stay in the league.

Calathes definitely is developing well in Greece for the Mavs. He would be a great option for Dallas once his contract is complete overseas.

Every player who is playing for coach Obradovic, has 2 options. Be great or be lost. Well looks like that Calathes and Tepic are the recent bets of him. I guess that we will not miss Papaloukas at all after all...

Good job Greece, but why is Calathes playing on the Greek National Team?

Because of one of his parents being Greek. Wasn't good enough to make the U.S. team. Simple as that really. Wasn't a fan of him at all, but he's coming along really well.
