I voted for Morrow because I love well pitched games. Some of the stats I have read about Morrow's start also has me very excited about his future.

What a freakin' steal....Morrow for League.

Overpay! He is the bane of my existence.

This is one of the hardest decisions ever - it's like asking which World Series team you liked better - '92 or '93!

Today's game was fantastic - it was great to watch Morrow command the game with such ease; when you think about it, Yunel Escobar's baserunning was the only thing that gave Morrow the opportunity at a 9-inning complete game, let alone a no-hitter. It was a great game all the way to the last out - even the way Jose Bautista and Aaron Hill almost collided sliding for a foul-ball showed how much it meant to the team to help Morrow chase this dragon.

At the same time, I was on edge to just watch Arencibia play. When he went on to shock me at every opportunity, it was unreal. A home run on his first hit? going 4-4 in his first four at bats? All the RBI and runs scored. Going to opposite field on his second major league at bat? I was absolutely in awe, and thought there was no way he could keep the dream debut going, but he just did.

For me, it has to be yesterday's game. But after writing this out, I am certainly feeling myself waffle a little bit. Such a difficult decision.

Actually, Escobar's baserunning was almost the reason the Jays didn't score. He would have easily scroed from 2nd on the single by Wells.

While it was possibly thetwo most enjoyable back to back games I have witnessed, I have to go with the Morrow pitching performance. On top of all else, it was a close game wihich could have tilted either way at any time.

Yeah, I didn't get Sam's obsession with Yunel's 1st-inning baserunning. It was a heady play, but he would have scored from second, no question. The thing it did was give him a chance to score on a wild pitch/passed ball.

It was great to see fans appreciating the performances for a change (how could you not). I can't remember the last curtain call @ the Dome.

Both awesome but have to go with J to the P to A's raking on Saturday. Morrow's got no hit stuff, he'll probably have more opportunities. But seeing a guy crack an HR on his first pitch in the show is something I'll never forget. I still remember Junior Felix doing it in 1989, I think I watched that game on scrambled TSN.

Regardless, it's one of those tidbits that Jerry Howarth will bring up a minimum of 5000 times over Arencibia's career.

Forgot there were two outs and he likely would have been running on contact anyways. However, one could argue the spacing of the infield would have been different. Either way, I agree with your point - I was just excited to see some aggressive baserunning - Escobar has been refreshing. Also glad to see Gonzalez make a few web-gems and score some big runs for Atlanta already - I don't like trades being one-sided; if both teams get fair value, it will encourage repeat exchanges between those teams, and encourage others to trade with you, knowing you offer up good value.
