espn.com - Wide receiver Javon Walker, released by the Broncos last Friday, agreed to a deal with the division-rival Raiders on Tuesday, a source told ESPN.com's Michael Smith.

The terms of the deal call for Walker to receive a six-year, $55M contract that includes more than $16M in guarantees and pays him roughly $27M over the first three years of the deal.

Well we know the Bears weren't coming close to that, so no loss there.

If I were Jerry Angelo I'd do everything possible to stop that from happening. But of course, that would mean Jerry would have to get off the sofa and make an actual move.

So if you were Jerry Angelo, your #1 priority would be about stopping some team from the other conference, who's currently one of the worst in the NFL, from combining an unproven QB with good potential, an injury ridden WR with great talent, and a rookie RB with good potential?

Man would I sleep well at night if that was Angelo's first priority. I'd hate for him to focus on getting the Bears back to the super bowl when he could try and foil the Raiders plans instead to combine a bunch of questionable assets.

No doubt. I was hoping we'd land Walker, but I had no idea they'd pay him like he was a top 3 WR in the NFL. That's just crazy stupid.

The more I'm looking at these deals, I'm almost happy (shudder) that JA isn't going after these FA's. I like the Booker deal...at least he can catch the ball. But to sign a guy with all those injuries to a deal like this is insane. Granted, our offense will probably suck again...but at least it won't suck but have a bunch of big contracts tied to it.

I would probably feel a bit more comfortable with this if JA could evaluate offense, and the Bears had a coaching staff that could develop offensive talent.
