TheBluest GM of the Bobcats was looking to swap picks across 4 teams for an ultimate team Blockbuster. Bobcats had little help in working this deal as it was mainly pushed by their GM. There was small encouragement from one, possibly two GMs..... to get players involved to help spice the deal and pizzazz the B.A.T., but one GM continued to remain dissatisfied throughout the ordeal after multiple scenarios were presented wanting more compensation. 3 of the 4 GMs involved wanted to move into the 4rth or 5th rounds but as the deal was being discussed at depth a couple were willing to back down off their initial demands as long as depth would be made up in immediate rounds thereafter. After much deliberation they were amicable to making this deal work.
Chris Ruhtard is reporting the Bobcats main goal throughout all of this was to appease all parties involved and spark life into a Draft that has ultimately had many disappointments throughout. BSPN was even willing to allow all GMs to have a 1 hour special segment to announce where they will be taking their swapped picks to. Many GMs across the league thought this deal would never get done from the start because of the enormity, magnitude, and scope of picks involved and thus they were proven correct.
Marc Stein is also reporting Bobcats GM will no longer entertain any deals unless he hires an Ast GM, as his time is proving to be more precious in the B.A.T. as it drags along.
