When we talked about the addition of international prospects who have their rights held by NBA teams, we spoke of being able to draft them as ASSETS to the franchise...much like they are today. And should be judged as just that...an asset.

If it wasn't the case...Rubio would have been selected much earlier than the mid-3rd pick you drafted him with. I can assure you he would have at least been mine at 25, let alone my 52nd.

To be honest and quite frank, your opinion doesn't matter. THE COMMISH and THE RULES say that you have no argument. Rubio will be counted as my starting PG whether your or anyone else likes it or not. It's not a matter of personal opinion. The rules state he was eligible to be counted and judged on the same basis as any other player drafted in this BAT. Anything else is just H8N!

To be honest and quite frank, my opinion DOES matter. According to these same RULES, we who participate will be the one's who judge our peers and ultimately decide a winner.

You know I'm not "H8N", but his situation was addressed after the last BAT. For whatever reason, after he was selected...he's all of a sudden allowed to be considered on the active roster. All I'm saying is that if this was the case, he wouldn't have been available to be selected when you got him. I guarantee you that.

I guess I can also draft Rasheed Wallace and bring him out of retirement...or have Fran Vasquez backing up Robin Lopez. Damn, maybe I'll just see if Michael Jordan is willing to come out of retirement while I'm at it.

The Spurs are still entertaining offers for both of our upcoming picks (#130 and #143). Although #130 would be harder to give up either or both could be had in the right deal. Also, Carl Landry on the block, ideally looking for a young center and willing to expand any deal to include other players and/or picks.

So.... since this is dragging a bit, and I'm waiting for my Madden record to get reset, so I'm going to give my top 5/bottom 5 in a minute.

Not if you are judging your peers on guidelines that are NOT in-line with the rules and instead go according to what you feel the rules SHOULD BE as opposed to what they ACTUALLY ARE.

That is complete B.S.! The rules did not change AFTER i selected Rubio. The new and updated rules for BAT 4.0 were firmly in place before the draft was started and I made sure I read them which is why I knew GMs like you who would NOT read the rules would allow him to slip through the cracks and fall to me in round 3 which is exactly where I targeted him. It's not my fault that people did not read the rules before BAT 4.0's draft. No one pulled any fast ones here. You just didn't do your due diligence

I guess I can also draft Rasheed Wallace and bring him out of retirement...or have Fran Vasquez backing up Robin Lopez. Damn, maybe I'll just see if Michael Jordan is willing to come out of retirement while I'm at it.

If you wanted to draft Fran Vazquez you are well-within your rights to do so! Michael Jordan? Well you know got-damn well that's another story.

I like the trio of Rubio, Martin and Granger. Not sure how Yao fits though. But since Martin and Granger are good shooters, they can play off him.

So your relying on guys to:

A. Follow rules (good luck with these guys).
B. Follow Rubio
C. Know his tendencies/potential/strengths/weaknesses well

That's a lot to ask for when most of these guys really don't know much about the guy aside from what they've read/seen. The last thing I saw from Rubio was him getting the **** crossed out of him at half court then falling down at mid court like someone shot a bowling ball at his nuts.

Just saying.

At this stage in their careers which player do you think majority of REAL nba gm's would have?

martin and yao are super injury prone.

I could say that about half the players in this draft

granger is nice, ill give you that.

Thanks! Yao also fits because he is a BIG BODY who would work wonders playing with a pick and roll PG like Rubio. His big body sets wide picks and if they switch he will bury the jumper as a great outside shooting center. He can also see over double-teams and is an excellent passer who will kick out to 3pt shooters like Granger and Martin. He fits beautifully. This is not a fast-break team I have built. This is a pick and roll (pop) team that can also play off Yao drawing doubles in the post.

Jordan got crossed up and fell too once (just saying). Also, I clearly remember Rubio breaking Jason Kidd's ankles and having him on roller skates in the Olympics as a TEENAGER. I'm sure his game has matured since then.

As for the rules, if GMs are judging teams by THEIR OWN RULES then what's the point of making rules in the first place?

Granger and Martin is a nice combo.

I don't know anything pass youtube videos on Rubio, so I can't judge.

Um, I'm pretty sure I said LAST THING I REMEMBER, not "once upon a time, Rubio got crossed". Big difference, especially when your talking about a guy that doesn't even play in the US. When youtube video's are the main thing you have to go by, seeing a guy get the **** crossed out of him has more of an impact.

and come on with this fairness crap. It's only unfair when things don't go your way. Obviously, that's not just on you. It's on everyone but be realistic about what's gonna happen. Rubio was loved and completely **** on by guys during the draft. What exactly is fair/unfair judging on Rubio? It's an extremely hard line to draw.
