Rudy Gay - USA Team

Post#1 » by casesuggs6 » Fri Jul 30, 2010 5:06 pm

Got a pretty good indication that Gay is going to make the final USA Team roster, form those inside his camp.

I don't know how true this is, but that's the word I'm getting.

Just in case you're wanting to know how I obtained this info,
I am a friend with individuals that are closely associated with Gay.

I questioned how that could be when they clearly stated that they have more cuts to make and I was told he will make the final cut. I'm pretty skeptical about it myself, but I trust those telling me the info.

So I'm letting you guys know as a heads up what to expect.

Like I said, I don't know how true this is. But it sounds promising. I hope he does make the team

I will say that I'm not surprised, because various media outlets have reported that he was as much of a lock to make it as Durant. That, in and of itself, was surprising as hell to me - but the newness has worn off for me. I hope he represents the Grizz well in Turkey!

I'm not so shocked. I expect Rudy to have a breakout season, and I can't wait to see him play for USA!

Good defender, multiple position and explosive scorer.
Like a poor man of Melo without the shooting touch, so I think he is a good asset the USA team has left.

I disagree with some of this evaluation. Rudy is a mediocre defender that's really only strong in one position. However his shooting touch is better that Carmelo, while Melo has a better post up game.

In what capacity is Rudy Gay poor to Melo? Poor hairstyle?
