Kings expected to win 30

Post#1 » by desquivel18 » Tue Aug 10, 2010 6:09 pm

I saw on espn that the experts think the Kings will win 30 games this year. What do you think about that?

i think kings would finish between 30-35W this season..

however i don't see clippers finishing above kings even with healthy griffin..

kings-grizzlies compete for 11th spot in WC.. thats my take..

I agree more or less. Like the previous poster I might go up to 35 but it's hard to tell, the team has yet to even play in the preseason.

I agree the Clippers are too high (Griffin ain't the messiah) and the Kings just a tad low (all that beef we added down low is going to have a big impact, not to mention another year of development), but most of the predictions I thought were "On the money". Strange that I agree so much with an ESPN article...I don't feel right.

And lol at the Laker fans on the General Board dismissing the Thunder. They're a good team.

I'll go with 35, give or take 5 games..
But I really don't know.. I'm hoping for 40+ wins!! :p
And I don't doubt, that this team can be the # 10-8 team. who knows, this season can be a potential break out season for this team. now that would be Hawesome!! :D

I agree. I wouldn't see them making the playoffs this year but the Kings can beat any non playoff team. They will be close to .500 this year, not over .500 of course.

None of the Grizzlies, Hornets, Clips, Warriors, Houston, TWolves are better than Sac this year.

Houston is better than Sac. Memphis is better than Sac. Hornets is questionable, depending on CP3's health. Clippers are also questionable, but could be better than Sac as well.

I don't really care about the exact # of win's, as I feel thats pointless, but I do think the rankings are roughly correct. Although I think Memphis is above NOH.

30 wins is a very conservative estimate, if this team clicks and stays healthy playoffs aren't out of the question, I'd say 35-40.

Don't sell your team short, Houston is getting older, and Memphis had an amazing season last year, they might win less, they really are a wild card.
I really think the Rockets will finish outside of the playoffs, and I'm not too sure about the Suns, also Portland is a pretty fragile team, we'll see what they will do.

I think the exact # of wins we will have at the end of the year is 33 wins

I also want to say in advance I have a gut feeling that the KINGS will make a trade soon likely a trade with DETROIT for T.PRINCE ...........................................

37-44 is my bet.

Tyreke with 24/8/5/2 on 48%.

Those are the only two predictions I feel comfortable about making.

After seeing DMC in SL, I think playoffs at this point is a pipe dream. While players ripping it up in SL doesn't often translate to them ripping it up in RS, players not ripping it up in SL usually translates to mediocrity in RS. Remember that it took 50 wins to make the playoffs in the West last season, and that was with Houston not having Yao for the whole season.

Houston is hit-or-miss. A healthy Yao is worth +15 wins to those guys. If Yao is healthy, they won't miss the playoffs; if not, they will. Whatever happens to Houston, the chance of Sacramento making the playoffs is very slim at best. The only way I see that happening is if Evans tears a major ligament in his knee and Whiteside tears up the West as an All-Star.

37 wins should be the target goal. Anything below is discouraging IMO.

I think Dalembert will play very well for us. His defense/rebounding presence compare to Hawes' is a huge upgrade. And I think it tends to get overlooked here. And guys like Greene, Casspi and Thompson will have another year of experience under there belts. While Evans is looking to take a leap into a legitimate all star territory. Add a guy like Landry and Garcia for a full year, it looks promising for the Kings. And this is without mentioning Cousins (and Beno).

Most likely, we will miss the playoffs but I wouldn't be surprised if the Kings hover around .500 most of the year though.

Between 33 to 36 wins I'm thinking for us, depending on how long it takes Cousins to get into his groove.

We added a lot of beef up front, and that was our biggest weakness, and to add that we were close in nearly every game last season, a 10+ win improvement is not only possible, but should be expected in my opinion.

Huh?
The Kings last year were 8th seed before Kevin Martin coming back and the team regressing, now they got rid of a major detriment (Nocioni), and have filled some missing spots.
I don't think it's likely they make the playoffs, I do think it's posssible.
