our lack of hitting is a joke and really becoming a cause for concern.... the yanks need to upgrade the hitting next year. No aging retreads either.. we need more young studs like cano... granderson so far has been a dissapointment..

I could see this coming.. rivera jams two guys and both get a hit on dribblers one an infield hit the other a seeing eye bleeder... rofl... this is what happens when you can't put a team away...

our lead will be cut to 1/2 game over the rays and 5 over the stinking red sox...

I guess I am holding this thread down.. LOL... and of course who is up to win the game? this clown murphy... hahaha....

and of course rivera falls behind in the count 3-0 and has to groove on down the middle... just a horrible loss.. when you look back, our hitting with RISP is horrible.. just a damn joke!!! this yankee team is so vulnerable...

I have to wake up at 5, I can't believe I stayed up for that.

AJ had his moments of craziness and I smelled trouble as soon as Rivera started struggling, but the bigger problem is the hitting right now, it's just not there.

its all cashmans fault, trading for a platoon CF and signing nikki johnson, both really hurt the team

Cashman definitely dropped the ball this summer, I understand it was time Matsui and Damon moved on but Granderson was never going to live up to the billing as our star offensive signing..I like him, he's a good player and a good man but he is what he is and the Nick Johnson signing was completely baffling. Really, those two were supposed to replace two of our most clutch performers?

Jeter being dead weight isn't helping things, I'm not ready to say this is the beginning of the end but I'm getting concerned..this is going beyond a slump.

well a fluke HR off the foul pole for young.. that one run is all that jackass cliff lee needs vs us.. If he faced the yankees every game, his record would be 35-0 with an era of 0.00

girardi can be a darn idiot... you walk this scrub bum murphy for what? scared to pitch to him with two outs in the 4th with a man on second.. so you walk him to get to another bum in molina, in which vazques walks after being ahead in the count 0-2 and then gives up a hit... 3-1 lead... rangers....damnit!!!!
