Sweeter game 7 Portland 2000 Boston 2010

Post#1 » by Michealjames » Wed Aug 11, 2010 12:07 am

Both huge comebacks

Both games Lakers looked like they might lose.

I thought Portland was a little more exciting because it was the first. Boston was more nerv recking.

I go with Portland in 2000. Lakers were young and were down by 20-25 points before coming back to win.

Boston 2010 easily. Beating Boston in Game 7, at home, in the Finals, trumps any game 7 with Portland.

Portland.

The Lakers were more than fortunate this year. The Lakers do one thing better than anybody and that's part of what won that game 1st part Ron played out of his mind and carried us when we were drowning in quick sand, and the other? The one thing we do better than anyone, we hit the biggest shots.

24 said it himself, both teams were done in the second half coming off an exausting series and a cross country trip with one full day off in between game 6 and game 7. Kobe's tank was empty in the second hafl he said it himself. It came down to who hit the biggest shots, which again is what we do better than anyone.

Portland was A 1000000 TIMES BETTER TO WATCH. It was high level basketball from everyone. Kobe was crossing fools and busting jumpers.

Boston was the ugliest game i have ever seen, but it was sweeter because it was for everything.

But i meant to watch.

I actually turned that game off because they were pissing me off so much because they were getting served. I turned it back on when I heard my neighbors yelling. I knew then, we must have done something good. So I turned it back on. It was stressful

I was at Staples for the Portland Game 7. That was unbelievable. Everyone in the arena had pretty much given up. The Portland players were talking smack to the fans. Then BShaw banked in that 3 pointer and we made the sweetest comeback you can imagine.
I watched the Game 7 against the C's on TV (couldn't get tickets) That was a gut wrenching game to watch.

But I have to say: NOTHING comes close to beating Boston for me.
All I could think of Pierce saying "we ain't coming back" after game 2. I loved it.

If you watch the games on youtube, the Portland game had more excitment. Maybe because it was on NBC.

i miss early 2000 staples, one of the loudest arenas in the NBA, now we have quiet finals games, its disappointing. But i remember i was 13 during the 2000 WCF, my dad took me to game 7, one of the happiest days of my life being able to attend that game. Makes me miss Shaq despite all the bad mouthing he's given the organization

Just went and watched the video of the Lakers vs. Portland. It was 16 points the Lakers had to come back in. Rasheed Wallace was there and he was there when the Lakers took him out in 2010 and put his career to an end.

Both two great W
The Portland game was great, more action, better basketball, great comback.
The Boston game was game 7 against our rivals and it was great fun the last 2 min.

But are you forgeting
Lakers vs Kings game 7 away. That went in to OT and we won???????????

against Portland and Boston we were supost to win, we were the favroites and at home. But against the Kings they had a better regular season record and they hated us and the bulding was going cracy.
I am not saying that it is the best but i think we should be talking about it with those games.

If i had to pick one i pick.
1. Boston 2010
the other two are close and tied.
Lakers 72,80,82,85,87,88,00,01,02,09 and 10 champions
