yea, you can't play with user created/custom rosters online. But DEEP is correct, as long as you got the skill, you can beat the updated heat with almost any team.

but yea, I stopped playing online years ago cause I'd constantly face "cheesers" haha.

Cool I didn't know about the official roster and online play. I think I have only played a handful of teams vs. teams online. Most of the time I am busy getting cheezed on by the people who hang out in the my play pick up game arena. But sometimes that place is just gets out of control. :x

I am straight BEAST in the post! With Bynum and Pau forget it I will foul out all of your bigs if you can't play Defense. Kobe in the post OMG, if you let me get that deep in the paint just hand me my AND1 please...

Toyed with the settings and played two games

Game 1: MIA 122, LAL 77. Lebron and Wade were on fire. Kobe couldn't hit anything to save his life. He shot worse than 6/24

Game 2: MIA 99, LAL 105. I made a lot of adjustments. Force feed Pau and I put Kobe on the block instead of trying to initiate his offense up top.

I put Kobe in the Post to get him going. His post shot is almost a gimme as the game goes along though i can tell fatigue sets in and Kobe becomes less effective in the post. That's why I hate to have him guarding the opposing team's star. I rather wait till late in the game to do so. Or if the star catches fire i put Kobe on them to cool them down.

I start every game feed Pau and Drew. This usually causes the AI to double the both of them in the paint just like real life. Once that starts Fisher and Kobe open up on the perimeter usually it is Fisher more than anyone. If Fisher gets 10+ pts its hard to beat me as the Lakers.

Question for you? Did Miller blow that first game open or was it all LeBron and Wade?
Who took the most shots on the Heat in both games?

it was lebron who got things going. I closed in harder on him and it left Chalmers, House and Miller open. They weren't on fire but they hit enough to keep my defense honest. I knew I was totally screwed. On the first game it was LeBron who took the most shots because he's the one who tore my defense apart. Wade was picking his spots but he was also on fire. Bosh was negated because of Gasol and Bynum but it was immaterial to the drubbing I recieved.

The second game i tried to box and 1 lebron and zone the Heat. Gave the AI different looks. I used Barnes and Artest to alternate guarding on LeBron during box-1 sets. I never used Kobe on him. It kinda worked because LeBron went ice cold in the fourth... where I needed it the most. But he was okay the first three quarters although he wasn't on a mean streak.

yo yo fellas, I graped that team then again I play that game everyday even with 5 kids. I must say though Lebron got to the paint more than Wade and chalmers hit 3's like no tomorrow. I'm actually going to try it again right now I got Kobe at 94 as well thats messed up!

did anyone else unlock a 'beat the heat' chant from staples? i was playing the updated rosters and it came on in the 4th quarter. it was kind of funny as i was destroying them at that point.

do you guys play it yourself or do you let the cpu play as both teams? if you are good at the game you can beat the heat with any team. ive beaten the western all-stars with the kings and the thunder. i assume that since you are laker fans that you primarily play with the lakers and should be good enough to win with them regardless of who your opponent is.

We played with settings so that the cpu gets a fair shake... of course on any regular day i can beat the heat... but I tried to incorporate the most realistic settings and sliders in the two games that i played.
