Decent team

I like it. A Calderon for Diaw swap so the Raptors have an expirer a year earlier and a guy who might be a scenary change away from being a decent backup in Augustin.

Diaw fits in with the players and he can create. Augustin is still young and had a great rookie season, followed by a tight leash and a major drop off in his sophmore year. He's fast and has great handles and could turn into a great backup on this team. At least he'd be in his rightful place as a backup, whereas Calderon is paid too much and is too good to play only 18-20 minutes a game.

Would be great if we could trade Jose AND get Augustin. I think Diaw would fit well on the new raps.
Don't like the second part about Caroll. He's like a mini Kapono. I know we need 3 pt shooters but would not like to take on his contract.

i dont like the 2nd part of the trade. calderon will have a bigger impact on the bobcats vs diaw on the raptors. if this is the trade i would rather hold on to calderon for another year and then with only 2 years left on his contract we will be able to trade him for an expiry. this charlotte trade this just seems to be making a trade for the sake of making a trade.

i could see just the 1st part happening but Evans would need to go. Maybe in another deal or something but Carroll for Evans makes throwing in Augustin worth it to the Cats. I think if it was just the 1st part theyd want the miami pick too.

id love just a deal of.

Calderon + Evans for Augustin + Diaw

* i think the Miami pick gets thrown in here but thats just my opinion.

CHA waives Damp, gets under the tax by 3 million.

TOR waives Dorsey.

Jack / Augustin / Banks
Derozan / Barbosa
Klezia / Weems / Wright
Diaw / Davis / Andersen
Bargnani / Johnson / Alabi

Calderon / Livingston / Collins
Jackson / Henderson / Carroll
Wallace / Najera / Mcguire
Tyrus / Evans / Brown
Mohammad / Diop / C (signed for 2 million)

or.

To Raps: Diaw, Augustin

To Clips: Calderon, Evans

To Cats: Bdiddy + Miami pick

3 way deal.

Toronto out
Jose C
D.Anderson
TPE (separate deal for Najera)

Toronto in
M.Dunleavy
DJ Augustin
E.Najera

Raps get a young dynamic pg in DJ, someone who can create from the wing in Dunleavy and the price we have to pay to pry DJ away. Dunleavy is also a 10 mill expiring.

Charlotte out
B. Diaw
DJ. Augustin
E.Najera

Charlotte in
Jose Calderon
D.Anderson
TPE (separate deal for Najera)

Bobcats get the pg they need, a back up big that can stretch the floor who is also has an unguaranteed deal next year and a TPE. This allows the Kitties to use the dust chip and get out of luxury tax .

Indiana out
Dunleavy

Indiana in
Diaw
Future Charlotte 2nd rd pick

Pacers get a stretch four that replaces Murphy which allows them to compete for a playoff spot this year.

for giggles:

Atlanta trades:
Bibby, Marvin Williams, 2011 first

gets:
Jose, Dorsey, Miami 2011 first

Atlanta moves Bibby for a better offensive fit for them come playoff time in Jose, Move the often disappointing Williams. Allows Smith to move to SF without having alot of money tied up in the backup. Move saves them roughly 6 million dollars instantly allowing them to sign another big.

Charlotte trades:
Diaw, 2011 first

gets:
Bibby, TPE for Daiw 9 million dollars from Toronto

Charlotte gains a legit starting pg and saves some money instantly and next season as well(about 9 million total) Cost of saving is their pick

Toronto trades:
Jose, Dorsey, Miami first, TPE

gets:
Marvin Williams, Diaw, Charlotte first, Atlanta first

Toronto adds a bit of talent and another 2012 expring. the picks will give the raps 3 in the first round next season while maintaining all current expirings(Anderson, Wright, Banks, Evans) and should be in a solid positoin to either move up or down in draft.

3 Way Trade:

Toronto Trades:
Jose Calderon
Reggie Evans
Miami 1st round pick

Gets back: Joel Pryzbilla, Rudy Fernandez

Portland Trades:
Andre Miller
Joel Pryzbilla
Rudy Fernandez

Gets back: Jose Calderon, Diaw, Dampier Miami 1st round pick

Charlotte Trades:
Boris Diaw
Dampier

Gets back: Andrew Miller, Reggie Evans

Analysis: Charlotte may prefer a more vet savy pg over Jose, so they get Andrew Miller and Reggie Evans intead, who may be good players for Larry Brown to make a push for the playoffs. Portland gets Jose who is a bit younger than Andre. Jose is also very good off the ball, yet can make plays for Brandon Roy and co. His poor defense can also be masked by Oden and Alridge. Toronto gets Rudy Fernandez as a nice young SG who is finally freed from Portland's structure. He is what Marco B should have been. Joel Pryz is a good back up C.

Calderon, Andersen to CHA

Gortat to TOR

Diaw to ORL

ORL gets a starting caliber PF that would fit nicely in their lineup.

Gortat gets to start in TO

CHA gets a backup PF and a PG for Diaw.

then

Evans + Dorsey to DAL

Stevenson + Berea to TOR

Jack - Berea - Banks
Derozan - Barbosa - Stevenson
Klezia - Weems - Wright
Bargnani - Davis - Andersen
Gortat - Johnson - Alabi

Ak47 + Price for Reggie + Banks + Jose + Miami's pick?

Unsure if Miami's pick would have to be involved but it increases our expiring. Also, Gaines and Price could we swapped.

Jack.Barbosa.Price
DD.Weems
Ak-47.Kleiza
Amir.Davis
Bargnani.Anderson

Where Andrei plays both forward positions.

I don't get how someone with John Stokton as their avatar and username could create such a lousy trade for Utah. But I'll gladly take it.

what about this new creative idea with CHA. Its a complicated 3 part deal but BC loves this stuff.

Part 1: Damp for Bosh TE
Part 2: CHA gets that new TE (13 million) sends it for Jose Calderon (raps get 9 million TE)
Part 3: Najera for the new 9 million TE (leaving 6 left over)

* CHA is left with two TEs
TE #1 = 3 million
TE #2 = 4 million

* TOR is left with a TE of 6 million
& the ungauranteed contract of Eric Dampier who can be combined with Reggie Evans for example later and bring something back. ( i believe he can be waived whenever) we would be at 68 million in committed salaries

why this puts CHA very close to luxury tax level. I believe if they waive Brown they become under it. Its a way where the Raps dump can Calderons contract and the Cats stay under the tax.

Jack - Barbosa - Banks
Derozan - Weems
Klezia - Najera - Wright
Bargnani - Davis - Evans
Dampier - Johnson - Andersen - Alabi

my idea would be later to send something like Damp + Evans for AK47. This way Utah can get out of tax.

wow... I swear to you I was just coming on this thread to see if this was possible with the TPE's. And I was coming to ask you specifically RO7....weird.

Thanks for answering my question before I ask it! :D

I was thinking with the Kings, something revolving around Dalembert.

1) TPE for Daly
2) TPE sent back to Toronto for Jose,. Leaving Kings with a 6.5 mil TPE. Us with a 7.5 TPE, and expiring of Daly.

Daly 13 mil
Wright 2.5 Mil
Banks 5 mil
Evans 5 mil
Weems 800,000
Anderson 2.5 mil (has a small buyout)

Approx 30 million expiring going into the tread deadline and summer. With a decent TPE.

it works however i dont see the Kings taking on the salary of Jose for an expiring. Beno is just fine backing up Evans and i sure would love the deal but i doubt it happens.

Well they get a pretty decent size TPE, but I forgot to add the follow up trade which would be a straight up Banks for Beno. Givng them the expiry back. I think Jose is the perfect PG to allow Reke do his thing and the off guard.

that makes sense then

how about this

3 part deal
1: Damp for Bosh TE
2: Calderon to CHA, Diaw to IND, Posey to TOR
3: Evans to CHA for part of Bosh TE back.

it looks like this, with all the pieces going everywhere.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=27djs3z

Jack / Barbosa / Banks
Derozan / Weems
Klezia / Posey / Wright
Bargnani / Davis / Andersen
Dampier / Johnson / Alabi

CHA in this deal sends out 22.1 million, gets back 14.1 million taking off 8 million putting them at 70 million, under luxury tax.
