Most likely BC will wait until next season.
There is no point to acquire him right now, where we can't play him right away.

Here is what people are failing to understand about Rubio.

The plan is to bring him over after next season. The problem is the NBA owners will be locking the players out and the season will very likely be lost. What will this mean for Rubio? Well rather than lose a year of income (and bball), he'll probably re-up in Europe. If he says "enough of this nonsense" and signs a lucrative multi-year deal at that point, you're in Fran Vasquez territory and whatever you gave up to get his rights could end up a total waste.

Not only is the guy a gamble because of his play on the court (check his stats from this past season), the circumstances surrounding his coming over make his acquisition an incredibly risky proposition.

Err.. Just one question. How do you know that Ricky doesn't want to play for Minny? Cause everybody says it but I've NEVER heard him say that. Actually, he's said "I can't wait to be trained by Kurt Rambis'.
When I finish a game, they ask me "how did it go? how many points did you score?", when the real question should be "what have you done today to help your team win?". - Ricky Rubio.

He signed a 5-year deal before this past season. He won't be signing another deal. If he doesn't come due to the lockout, we'll wait another year. No problem.

This.
He didn't chose not to join the NBA like Fran, Ricky was pretty much forced to stay in Europe due to the circumstances. If he doesn't join the wolves in 2011 due to the lockout it will be in 2012, end of story. And the wolves are not trading him unless some team makes a ridiculous good offer, meaning a certified all star.
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.

I'll put what I sad in the other thread:

Scariolo can't coach Spain. Spain needs to steal the ball and run. That's what players like Rubio, Rudy, Navarro, Felipe, Marc, Claver, Llull... etc do. I hope Scariolo leaves...

Rubio came back with Barcelona (and with Coach Xavi Pascual) and look what he did against Real Madrid and against Sergio Rodriguez: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_mInw1Bp6Y

Rubio NEEDS to run. He's a mediocre player if he plays walking.
