If I did that deal, I wouldn't be picking my 10th player until the 12th round. If I stay put, I'll have my 10th player by the 9th round, so that deal is enticing NOW, but later on it would turn out to be a bad move for me.

If you can somehow throw me a player, or get a third person in to throw me a 10th, I'd be more willing to do it.

^ My 10th man is important. I need to secure a back up for each position, so even if I agreed to your counter offer, I still wouldn't be picking my 10th man until the 12th round. What time are you on the clock?

Yeah. I thought he mightve fallen a bit more but had to swoop him up since this is really good value here IMO. Number 2 overall pick last year and everyone knew he was going to be raw. We think hes a steal here.

Cant wait to see who youve been targeting.

The Dallas Mavericks are gauging interest in PF Elton Brand. They are also shopping 265, 270 and 271 for any pick from now til the early-mid 8th round and a 12th and 13th.

haha yeah I think we're targeting similar players- I was considering Thabeet as a replacement for Hibbert- people have written him off but he had a very good summer league (11ppg,9 rpg, 3bpg). was actually thinking about trading for that pick earlier... just keep me in mind if you ever want to trade him :wink:

How many guys do we have that have been skipped repeatedly? Wouldn't be fair to boot St. Knick and not others who have been skipped 3 times.

Yeah. Guys like Javale McGee got picked in the 3rd round. Theres not much difference between the two. Both have very high potential but one has much more hype on him. Even if he gives me something like 4ppg, 4rpg, 1.5bpg in 15 minutes, hed be a good fit.
