The problem with Jeffries was that he was judged by too many people by his contract alone. What was the guy supposed to do - tell the person who offered him that money "no, thank you?"

They have absolutely no anchor and are going to be terrible defensively, especially taking into consideration what D'Antoni is considering to do with that roster, and also considering his overall track record defensively speaking in the past. With amare and Randolph being the primary interior shot blockers that lane is going to be as easy as pie to penetrate.

It can't be any easier than last year with Lee at center. D'Antoni's bad track record with defense is exaggerated. SSOL gives more time overall to score for both teams so yeah the points given up will be higher than normal but that doesn't mean the defense is bad.
