How many were in S6 regularly last year? First 7 rows of section 208 holds 59 people. Can't tell how many the other rows hold. Most likely means you're going to be starting out in like section J or L or something.

From the Bucks site: "Squad 6, the best fan section in the NBA, was created by Bucks center Andrew Bogut. Andrew wanted to keep the Bradley Center rocking so he bought 100 lower level tickets for the loudest, wildest, most energetic Bucks fans. It's their mission to make sure everyone in the Bradley Center gets into the game and so far this season it is a mission accomplished."

I guess the only reason I am "complaining" is because sticking Squad Six in a corner may not be the most effective way of getting everyone into the game.

they can control where you guys sit, but they cant control where us non-squad6 lunatics sit. I (and everybody else I go with) will be going with the chants and stuff no matter where you get moved to.

This is the most important thing to me as a member. I loved when the rest of the crowd joined in, it only gave me more adrenaline to chant and cheer and yell louder, there were also times where you could visibly see the players motivated by it and get fired up. I encourage all fans no matter where Squad 6 is sitting, by all means join in with anything we do and if you are ever uncertain about what we are doing, just ask either ask here on the forum and I'll answer after the game or stop by our section and ask me in person. I always want more and more fans to join in, the times when the entire BC was joining in with us really were awesome and mind blowing.

Yeah, 70-80 means you're definitely going to be starting in about row L, which would be terrible.

Well that is just how many people we had, they had set aside enough to expand to 100, we just had the wings that we never used and we left the 2 back rows empty though we could technically have used the very back row. The only time we were full was in the playoffs when we were overflowing due to a few people sneaking in and not being noticed.

I know Bogut wanted to also expand it to 150-200 this year if it could work out. Last time I talked to the Bucks they didn't think it was going to be possible to expand it this year but that could be in the works with the move to cheaper seats so I don't know.

BLKOUT wrote:Considering the fact that your initial statement about this was so hyperbolic (the idea that 100 people would not buy season tickets again just because of squad 6, and NONE of those 100 tickets would be replaced) to come across this arrogant is really bizarre. I know you don't like people disagreeing with you but this attitude is a bit over the top don't you think?

So if the game isn't selling out... You just assume that if 100 people leave for some reason more people will come to replace them? If those people really wanted tickets, wouldn't they just buy tickets in the first place considering there are a ton available? :o

Your logic makes absolutely no sense to me.

Sports fans are the same all over the World. They turn up in droves when the team is winning, they don't when the team is losing. If there's a big/good team in town they'll come watch it, if there's a **** team in town they won't. It's nothing new.

But these people were paying to see the team from the start of last year when they were expected to be **** and showed no signs of being good. Again, I don't get your point.

Also, sports fans all around the world are not the same considering you are saying people who want a more calm atmosphere are morons. That's just about every NBA arena in the league until playoff time or late moments in regular season games where it is very close.

Nah, I hope we don't get moved. I won't be super pissed if we do though. I'm just happy with the free tickets and getting to see the team play. :D

I tried to think about it for a minute but after 5 seconds I realized that if I thought about it for much longer my brain would literally explode and I wouldn't be able to respond.

I always think about the first game I ever went when I was younger and seriously almost went to sleep, the BC was just so dull and boring. between then and last year I had a few games where I lost my voice but nothing crazy. Last year with squad 6 leading the way I was telling myself "If I have my voice when I leave here, then I didnt do my job". I went to game six  with my brothers and we were in the upper level directly across from 212. That game wasnt exciting at all but we were all losing our voices by half-time, from going with every chant you guys were doing.

Squad 6 made the BC more fun than I can remember, and I couldnt expect it to be better than it was. If moving you guys would allow them to expand it then it could end up being better than it was.

Call me naive, but the Bucks will not be selling out section 212 where we used to sit so the money they would be making by having S6 in 208 vs 212 isn't going to be all that much. Secondly, while there were some people annoyed with us, there were WAY more people that loved us. A lot of people in fact WANTED to sit next to squad 6. So those same people will no longer buy $96 tickets, they will buy $50 tickets costing the Bucks revenue. Thirdly, I really do think S6 helped the team win. Call me naive, but I think we gave the team a good 2 point advantage per game, which is huge in the NBA. Now in 208 we could be less effective causing us to lose some games we might have won. If our fan base sees us underacheiving the hype generated last year will be lost and the Bucks will lose even more revenue by having fewer people come to the games.

Now with that said, I will not complain about free seats. I'm just saying why I disagree with the move. I think if they are strictly looking at it for financial reasons, they really aren't going to be making any more money having us in 208

...I'm just guessing...but I bet they let you add more people to Squad 6 so you fill up the entire Section 208...(maybe 20 to 40 more crazed Squad 6 fans...)

Easier said than done. It's easy to sit here and think you'd go to all 41 games if they were free, but on a Tuesday night in February when it's -10 outside and you have to drive 30 minutes sometimes sucks. Bogut wanted 100 fans last year and we probably only had 80 at the very most.
