Can't see the Sixers doing this.

I do like the Iggy/Brand deal though. Brand's contract doesn't bother me. If our medical staff can't get Brand healthy enough, then odds are we could lobby for medical retirement or some such and clip insurance. At that point he'd be much cheaper than Turkoglu.

One major problem, though, would be our newfound lack of three point shooting. Nash would be the only starting unit guy that could carry a tune in that regard.

I thought our best bet was when we had Stoudemire's full TPE to play with. Would have thrown that TPE + Dudley + Clark + 2011 PHX 1st at them for Igoudala + Green. They would have said no, but Hell:

PG - Nash / Drgaic
SG - Richardson / Green
SF - Igoudala / Hill
PF - Turkoglu / Amundson (Bi-A)
C - Lopez / Frye (MLE)

That's disgusting versatility right there.

I think rather than Brand(because he is more difficult to move) and Iggy (because he is good, and based on conracts doled out this summer, is even a decent value) will stay as the cornertsones. I think Kapono and his expiring paired with a few of the young guys is where they will look. I wouldn't be surprised if they are looking for a PG and veteran depth right now. Holiday looks decent, but again, will he be good enough quickly enough for Collins to be satisfied?

It's possible but I think it would be an unwise move. Would you move Dudley, EC and Dragic for one season of Zach Randolph? It may be their only move they can make (assuming they want to keep Iggy and Brand can't be moved) but it doesn't necessarily mean they have to make it. I think they will give it time, probably till at least January to see where their team is and then make a move then.

On the big trade board I traded out Young for Noc as an alternate and that got some good feedback. I would rather have Young, but I don't despise Noc. He has great defense, a chip on his shoulder and a decent 3 point shot. We would have an excess of 3's, but we could deal with that in a follow-on trade. He's not great overall offensively, but as a good defender and spot-up shooter with rebounding skills he could be useful for us, and his contract only goes 2 years at under $7 mil per year.

i don´t know why but i have a strong feeling that lawal will see alot of playing time this season and will be the steal of this years draft - that being said i would wait ´til the first half ot the season and look if this team has a chance or not. if not the fo needs to get something done and j-rich with his expiring contract looks like gold.

I don't know if Lawal will get a lot of PT but I think he'll get consistent PT. You don't give a 2nd rounder a guaranteed deal if you are going to just sit him on the bench.
