It pains me how quite it is on the Thunder front right now with the last couple of days being an explosion of speculation and signings elsewhere. I would love Haywood but think the salary dumping deals we made for other teams closed that door. Is there possibly one more player we might pick up with someone trying to move around space with what little cap room we still have?

I think Presti is done acquiring players for the rotation at this point. There is already a full roster and good competition at three different spots.

We might see Presti make a consolidation move towards the end of training camp if players like Kristic, White, Cook or Peterson are out of the rotation. You shouldn't expect a rotation player to come back though, Presti would probably be looking for an expiring contract and picks in return.

How do you guys view your DC this year, especially at 2/4/5? Ibaka starting? Aldrich starting? Green starting? [ugh] Krstic starting?

I( think I can safely say that the majority of us hope it will be a Starting lineup of

Westbrook
Harden
KD
Ibaka
Aldrich

BUT I think most of are more likely expecting

Westbrook
Thabo
KD
Green
Krystic
yep the same as last year....at least for the first few weeks.

Westbrook
Sefolosha
Durant
Green
Aldrich

It's hard to know. Here's what I would run with if I had my druthers:

Cole Aldrich 24 / Nick Collison 14 / Nenad Krstic 10
Serge Ibaka 24 / Jeff Green 20 / Nick Collison 4
Kevin Durant 38 / Jeff Green 10
James Harden 30 / Thabo Sefolosha 18
Russell Westbrook 35 / Eric Maynor 13

This is a 10-man rotation. Scott Brooks has said many times he prefers the 9-man. I can't see a scenario (unless he utterly sucks) that Cole Aldrich is not in the rotation. If he is, it probably means bye-bye to either Krstic or Collison. It'll be interesting to see how that one shakes out. I'd prefer Collison to stick around in the rotation, but it could just as easily be Krstic.

I''m not thrilled about starting Serge Ibaka but it's necessary if James Harden is starting. I think Harden must start for this team, especially if Cole Aldrich is going to. Otherwise we're just too limited offensively. Harden starting means Green must go to the bench, where he's probably more useful anyway.

really like this rotation but i wish we had more minutes for thabo

my plan was with green gone thabo gets the backup sf minutes as well but I think this would be the best rotation with what the team has now (slightly modified off yours slick)

Aldrich 24/Collison 14/Ibaka 10
Serge Ibaka 20/Green 28
Durant 36/ Thabo 12
Harden 30/ Thabo 18
Westbrook 34/ Maynor 14

I take Kristic out of the rotation in favor of Collisons superior efficiency, rebounding, and hustle. Thabo gets 30 minutes on the opponents best wing and Ibaka gets a lot of experience with 30 minutes of playing time.

one thing i dont like is green spends all his time at pf but the benefits outweigh the costs here to me

In 2011 I would be surprised if your FO doesn't make every attempt to land Marc Gasol. Seems like a great fit.

I agree with just about all of this except I'm excited to see Ibaka start if he is given the opportunity.

I also agree about Collison over Krstic. If Aldrich doesn't start I hope it's Collison. But I'm really crossing my fingers that Aldrich can come in and play at a starters level.

I also wouldn't mind KD coughing up a few minutes to Thabo.

I agree with this too. The little brother has a pretty big time game.

Reading the media day recaps definitely sounds like Ibaka and Harden are coming off the bench at least to start the season

Gonna cross my fingers Aldrich starts and Thabo has that corner three

I don't think Marc would come here. Remember what happen with team USA vs Spain? Remember when KD and Marc was at each other throats. My gusse he won't come over here lol. But it would be cool if he can sign with us. But i think he would take up our cap space. Don't think Presti would go after theses big FA. But who knows can't wait till next season.
