He is going to stick around for another 2 years and I think this is it.
He will retire and wrap up his legendary career.

1. What does Darko being traded has anything to do with you stopping being a major fan of the Spurs?

2. That Wizards game... So the only reason you remember that game was because you worried about Duncan's FG% dropping below .500? That's it? I absolutely have no idea why anyone would worry "frantically" just because Duncan's FG% drop under .500. When I think of Duncan's games, I can think of a whole lot more memorable games than that...

1. I wanted to follow him rather than Duncan (and the Spurs).

2. I used to be a stat-junkie and frantically worried about Duncan shooting .499 instead of .500 (OCD). I used to pay attention to all his games (and box scores) and unfortunately the day he scored 53 points vs. Dallas, I didn't get to witness... :x

If Splitter pans out, he could extend Duncan's career, no? I mean, TD hasn't really played next to a true C in awhile.

If Splitter does pan out I think he could extend Duncans career. TD won't have be banging down low with centers on a consistent basis and that would be a giantic load off his back.

With any luck, Splitter's arrival will do for TD what TD did for Admiral in '97. Obviously Splitter is nowhere near on TD/Robinson's level talentwise, but hopefully he's solid enough to carry the load for stretches and ease the burden on Timmy.

I see him playing for 3 more years at most.
Shaq on Duncan:SA won because of TD, a guy I could never break.I could talk trash to Ewing, get in D-Rob's face, get a rise out of Mourning, but when I went at Tim he’d look at me like he was bored and say:“Hey,Shaq, watch this shot right off the glass.”

I really doubt he takes one more year after his current contract unless the team made moves that turns us into a top 4 favorite for the title again. It might entice him to come back knowing that this team is still a title contender. Otherwise, I think he should retire instead of slowly becoming some 15 minute (because of age) backup not being able to beat out some white stiff.

Dwight Howard does not deserve to be on the great big man list. He has no offensive game. he is just the best center of a depleted time. there are no good centers at all now, and hes benefiting from that. if he played shaq, robinson, olajuwon, ewing, or mourning in their primes he would have been dominated.

+ 1

Dwight have limited offensive game. Yao Ming has better skill set than Dwight.

I'm guessing he'll be getting the same minutes as last year. But i'd expect Pops to sit him out more often this year. Splitter's not going to playing big minutes this year, but i'm expecting Blair to get a ton of minutes this year.

And when I say sit him out I mean giving the night off, just for clarification.
