BA has Conners bolded as if signed on its list. The only link for Kelly is a tweet from Coner Glassey who works for BA. Could be announcements are being held up for something like physicals or that somebody jumped the gun and they are not signed. I too await real confirmation on either/both.

Barrett Loux has been granted Free Agency. Think the Jays should go after him?

The Toronto Blue Jays signed top pick and 11th overall selection pitcher Deck McGuire just before the Monday night deadline.

According to the multiple reports, McGuire got a $2 million signing bonus, just over the recommended slot.

McGuire was 9-4 with a 2.96 earned run average in 16 starts for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets last season. He walked 33 and struck out 118 in 112 2/3 innings.

Guessing that someone else will value him more than we do; we have so many pitchers, and with the frayed labrum he's a huge risk.

However, rare classy move by MLB granting him free agency. I don't blame the Diamondbacks for opting not to sign him, but you have to feel for the kid; he wouldn't have been able to return to college, and was either looking at surgery (on his own dime, followed by a long road back) or pitching in indy ball for a year with a damaged labrum to prove his worth, which could have ended with major structural damage and the end of his career.

Hopefully, whoever signs him does the right thing: have him undergo surgery to correct the problems with his elbow and shoulder, and see what you have on the other side. Chances aren't good that he'll rebound, but it's better than having him blow out his arm completely by 22.

Bill (Galloway, New Jersey): Of the top 50 picks in the 2010 draft class that signed contracts, who do you feel has the potential to be the biggest sleeper and go far beyond expectations?

Jim Callis: Based on lack of hype and not draft position (because guys slid for financial reasons), I'll say Jays righthander Asher Wojciechowski. Plus fastball and slider, should move quickly.

Yeah, fair while ago...he has gotten in a bit of work in the GCL, nothing great but a solid start:

Met, you go to sleep?

Pretty impressive job by AA to get all top 7 rounds and compensations signed, no?

And what did we miss with Ehlers?

For anyone wondering who was signed and who wasn't look no further. The Jays signed their first 13 picks - obviously good news.

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I've noticed a lot of questions about who was wigend v. who wasn't.

http://www.baseballamerica.com/draftdb/ ... ?team=1022

It may be even older news, but here is who we signed in '08:

& '09

That's as far back as the site goes.

Are any of the late signings going to get to play this year? I know Jenkins didn't.
