Why do you guys have Barbosa pegged as playing back up PG? He's a horrible decision maker.

3-Way Trade (Trade ID #5665725)
to Toronto
Samuel Dalembert

To Charlotte
Jose Calderon
Reggie Evans

To Sacramento
Erick Dampier

-Raps get the Center to take physical pressure off Bargs on contract year and save money
-Cats finally get Calderon to offensively complement Captain Jax and G-Wallace
-Kings had a glut of bigs post-draft with PT needed for DeMarcus, Laundry and Thompson(+Whiteside), so they waive Dampier and save money.

EVERBODY WINS, EVERYBODY!

I think I'd prefer the instant savings of Dampier's contract over Dalembert (then if any high $ players become available that we're interested in during the season, we don't have to worry about hitting the tax and can fully absorb them with our TPE). If we get the DUST chip, I'd rather try to use it to get a young player to look at (or maybe acquire a pick to draft someone) than Dalembert, who would just be a 1 year stopgap and wouldn't really figure into our longterm plans.

Maybe something where we help a tax team and absorb someone like Peja/Dunleavy/AK and receive a pick or prospect as compensation.

Trade 1:
To Washington-
Ed Davis
Miami 1st
To Toronto-
Javale McGee

The Wizards are high on McGee but still have Blatche who can be a great player for them and can start at center. Ed Davis is a good player for them because he can defend, rebound and block shots. The Miami pick wont be high but it's still a first rounder.

Raptors get the ideal center to pair with Bargnani.

Trade 2:
To Philadelphia-
Jose Calderon
Sonny Weems
Reggie Evans
Toronto 1st
Toronto 2nd
Cash

To Toronto-
Andre Iguodala
Jrue Holiday

Sixers get rid of Iguodala and his contract to make room for Turner. They also replace Holiday with a proven PG who can run an offense well. They get a look at Sonny and may decide to sign him a lot cheaper than Iggy if they like him. Picks and cash are extra incentive.

Raps get their PG and a legit 2nd option to Bargnani.

Roster:

C- McGee/Andersen/Alabi
PF- Bargnani/Johnson/Dorsey
SF- Iguodala/Kleiza/Wright
SG- Derozan/Barbosa/Banks
PG- Holiday/Jack/B.Brown

^^Not sure if Washington would do the 1st trade, Blatche is more of a PF and they seem high on McGee, especially with the chemistry him and Wall had in SL. Don't like the second trade very much. Iggy is a big contract to take on and we give up Weems and both picks this year (our own pick could net us a better PG prospect than Holiday in Knight/Irving). Doubt Philly goes for it either since they see Jrue as their future PG, and they could get better deals for Iggy than Jose+Weems.

Lets say there is more momentum to this Longoria/Parker desire to play in NY. I tried to run a scenario in the checker where Toronto is the help team, but couldn't figure out what the cash/TE/\picks would be. And it may not help at getting a legit C to allow Bargs to move to the 4 or a make-your-own-shot guy at SF, but it can give SA a replacement guard. Anyone else want to take a stab? Can Toronto raid SA's young talent?
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.

Raps send

Bargnani and the Bosh Trade Exception to Minnesota for Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love

We tank it this year, pick up a top 5 pick (target Kanter or Perry Jones)

Imagine this starting lineup in a few years - international, athletic, great passing (rubio and love).. lets face it, we dont have a chance for 3-4 years, might as well completely re-stock with young guys. Rubio would be the face of the franchise and would give the franchise some respectability with tv games being showed for once in the states

Rubio
Derozen
Weems
Love
Kanter

2 expiring vets that help now. A young big to add to the Scottie timeline
I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

andre miller for Jose Calderon + MIami 2011 1st Round Pick

they get a better fit next to Roy and a much younger PG

Raps basically get an expiring contract

my new idea.

To TOR: AK47
To UTH: Hamilton + 5.3 million savings + Miami 1st
To DET: Diaw + Banks
To CHA: Calderon + Dorsey

TOR gets an expiring but a productive one

UTAH gets hamitlon and OUT OF TAX while getting the miami pick

DET gets a big in Diaw and an expiring for Hamilton

CHA gets Calderon and a backup 4 whos 25% guaranteed

Finding way to get Rodrigue Beaubois ,Nicolas Batum and Sam Dalembert

PG R Beaubois '88
SG N Batum '88
SF L Kleiza '85
PF A Bargnani '85
C S Dalembert '81

-Gives up a lot of length all over, Would have the lengthiest backcourt in the league with the ever improving Batum being our lock-down defender.
-Would gives us one the lengthiest/tallest frontcourt.
-Plenty of scoring&shooting with Beaubois, Kleiza and Bargnani(being our number one option)
-Dalembert doing the dirty work in the middle
- a Young athletic team with plenty of international favour and plenty of POTENTIAL that would contend! just like BC envisions it!

Cleveland trades:
Varajao, Parker

gets:
Dorsey, Banks, Evans, Miami first

Cleveland sheds AV contract and builds through draft, they will probably look to shed WIlliams and Jamieson as well either before or during season.

Toronto adds a solid defensive bigman who should work well beside Bargs and AP comes back home to be a solid vet presence off the bench. AP Will solidify things beside Barbosa a pg spot for when Jose gets traded.

Jack/Jose/Barbosa
Demar/AP/Barbosa
Weems/Kleiza/Wright
Bargs/Amir/Anderson
AV/Davis/Alabi

To Toronto
D. Gallinari
Andre Miller
Pryzbilla
E. Curry

to NYK
TJ Ford
J. Foster
3.3Mil TPE

to Ind
Dorsey
Banks

Evans
7.3 TPE

Toronto Line Up

Pryzbilla/Curry/Andersen/Alabi
Bargnani/Amir/Davis

Everyone is basically trading expiring, and dumping salary.
Indiana drops salary but gets a draft pick since they are getting garbage
Portland gets a good team player and playmaking PG plus energy guy off the bench
NY gets a pg to share time with Felton, plus the get rid of Curry but get back an expiring in Foster.
Toronto gets 2 Centers, a starting SF, and a starting PG for the next 2 seasons.

Portlands gets a distributor in Calderon and a 7.4 mil tpe.
Miller gets more of the ball on SA and offers a good stop gap until Hill rounds out. Also dump 6mil in salary.

Hollingers has us a -1 win.
SA at +2 wins.
Atl at -2 wins.
Portland -6 wins.

ATL lineup

How about this 5 way deal?

Cha
In
Calderon

Out
Diaw

Why Cha does it?

They upgrade their PG position and opens for more PT for T.Thomas..

Indiana
In Diaw/Evans/Banks

Out
Dunleavy/Ford/D.Jones

Why Ind does it

They gets big bodies they can use and gets rid of T.J Ford who could be locker room cancel for the team and opens up for more PT for George/Rush at the wing position..

NY
In
Carmelo
T.Lawson
R.Balkman
D.Jones
Cash

Out
Eddy Curry
W.Chandler
D.Galinari
A.Randolph
T.Douglas

Why NY does it?

They are getting something for Eddy Curry!!! and getting the best player in a deal

Denver
In
M.Dunleavy
D.Galinari
A.Randolph
T.Douglas

Out
Carmelo
T.Lawson
R.Balkman

Denver gets young talents with huge upside and big expiring who can actually help the team..

Toronto
In
E.Curry
W.Chandler
T.J.Ford

Out
Calderon
Banks
Evans
Cash

Why Tor does it?

Get rid of Calderon's contract and add a young solid player for carring Curry's dead weight...

Line-Up
PG:J.Jack/L.Barbosa/T.J.Ford-probably waive him
SG:D.Derozan/S.Weems
SF:W.Chandler/L.Kliza/J.Wright

Wow, that's incredibly optimistic. We're definitely not getting an ending contract AND Chandler level talent for Calderon. Getting just an ending deal could be hard enough.
