Help a fellow net fan out

Post#1 » by Aussie 2point0 » Wed Aug 18, 2010 7:17 am

Guy's. I will be on the westcoast From 2nd oct- 16th oct. Turns out i have a gap in my schedule that will see me able to come over to Jersey and catch the exhibition games @ newark on the 7th and 9th. Is there accomodation near the Prudential? Which airport is best to fly to (convenience wise) Night life? Since I am a single father of three girls. This may very well be a once in a lifetime trip. Do any of you have team contacts. Would love to be able to watch training or poss meet the team. I know that sounds a bit silly. But any help will do. Would love to meet up with some other fellow Realgm nets fans too.

Cheers

Newark airport is literally a 5 minute drive to prudential center. There are several hotels around the airport as well but it depends on how much you are willing to spend. Ive never stayed in a hotel in Newark because I live right here, but they have all the big name hotels. I tend to stay away from Newark for night life, so id say youre better off taking the train to NYC from Newark Penn which is a 2 minute walk from Prudential center.

Numerous Bus rides...might be better to rent a car so you can travel on your own watch...its a pretty easy drive...couple of hours, but worth it if you like to gamble...

that stretch is going to be tough for me with work, ect... but I think its great you're going to be able to catch some preseason games...I'm guessing its not your first time to the states? Is it your first time to New Jersey and/or watching a NBA game in person?

Well, when you driving down Mullberry or Broad, you might drive right by me, I'm always in that area...

We're going to have to open up the well anticipated category in the Realgm Awards for the Oversea's Nets Fan of the Year...it looks like you're taking down treiz this year, unless he makes it out to a game...

Good for you Aussie...btw, where are you staying? PM me if you want...

Actually JJ It is my first time in the states. But when i realized i had a chance to go to the east coast to see my Jersey boys well I jumped at the chance.
It will be my first NBA game.
This is really stretching my budget so I have sacrificed good digs for more fun in Jersey and maybe a sneak peak into NYC. I will be staying at the Days Inn Hotel At Newark airport. Please tell me it is at least halway decent!!!! LOL. But when I travel I tend to use my accomadation as a base. Not a place you want to spend time in cos you have a whole country to explore.

I use the thread to ask nets fans where they buy their tickets for NJ's games
I am a Portland Trailblazers fan from Italy and i'm willing to come to NY on november just in time to catch my Blazers at Prudential (not a coincidence). What is the best site to buy tickets? Ticketmaster (linked in the official NJ site) doesn't allow you to choose seat. Thank You very much
